The faction led by senator Ainlee Tim began using a name that had long been sealed away—the Rim Faction.
It had once been one of the most powerful factions in Galactic Republic politics, composed of many Council Representatives from the Mid Rim and Outer Rim Territories.
Since the Mid Rim and Outer Rim Territories occupied more than three-quarters of the entire Milky Way Galaxy, these representatives were numerous, and many exceptionally talented figures emerged among them.
During the Republic era, although the Galactic Senate was inefficient, it was the highest administrative body in the entire galaxy. Every bill had to be discussed and voted on in the Senate before it could pass. Under such circumstances, the numerous Rim Faction naturally possessed the ability to influence many Galactic Republic decisions.
Back then, no one could talk about whose fists were bigger. No one had any fists; the Galactic Republic's only armed force was the Judicial Fleet. So when arguments broke out in the Senate, it did not matter how developed Kuat and Rendili Planet were industrially, nor how unimaginably wealthy Muunilinst, Balmorra, and Neimoidia were. The Rim Faction simply had more people. They never backed down in an argument, and in the end, planets like Kuat still had to yield to them.
The Rim Faction of that time gave many people hope.
Although the Outer Rim Territories were poor and backward, by standing together, they could still make their voices heard in the Galactic Republic. They could also, more or less, secure a great deal of Galactic Republic policy support. Though very little of that support actually came to fruition, at least it existed.
