Well, the time had finally come.
I took a look at the backend. Wow, it was my first time going premium on Hedgehog Cat as a newbie, and I felt completely at a loss.
My original intention for writing this book was...
—Why am I saying all that lofty nonsense? Of course it was for the money!
I owed too much money. If I didn't start making some soon, I'd have no choice but to sell potatoes for a living.
Once the new-book period ended, I'd probably lose a lot of readers.
After all, I could see that many readers were free users. I'm not saying this to discriminate against free readers.
It was mainly because... I was such a noob that I wasn't confident I could snatch the check-in book coins from your hands away from the powerhouses on other sites. That difficulty was just too high [looking at the sky].
The book would go premium tomorrow. My goal was 1,800 first subscriptions. Going by Hedgehog Cat's classic ten-to-one first-subscription ratio, I should be pretty safe... safe my ass!
Rumor had it that a few years ago, some senior author had managed a one-hundred-to-one ratio on the big shelves. I figured that since I was such a noob, it shouldn't be hard to replicate that old senior's record.
The recent feedback from everyone kept making me feel like I was going to crash and burn [shivering].
Anyway, if first subscriptions hit the target, I'd work hard; if they exceeded the target, I'd work even harder; if they hit double or triple the target, I'd write like my life depended on it [it definitely won't happen, so it's fine to say it, keh keh keh].
If you think this book is alright, then please give it a first subscription.
