Cultivation After Enlightenment and Shallow Ties to the Six Relations

Do you know why what I said differs from what those so-called cultivators say?

Because I began cultivating after enlightenment, and along the way, I came to understand many truths.

Then, at a particular moment, I suddenly attained enlightenment, changed my own understanding, and thus gained a cultivation method unique to myself.

Do you see this diagram?

Within yin there is yang, within yang there is yin; yin and yang embrace one another.

If consciousness is yang, then the subconscious is yin.

Your consciousness will imperceptibly influence your subconscious self, and your subconscious will likewise imperceptibly influence your consciousness.

These two are inseparable. What we must cultivate is the line at the center of the Taiji diagram: merge your consciousness and subconscious, and stand in the middle.

Once you achieve this, you will be able to transform yin into yang and yang into yin, wielding the power to twist heaven and earth.

It means turning black into white, evil into good, bad thoughts into good ones, and freely shifting your perspective.

Do not take your personal consciousness as the main body. Instead, view yourself and everything else from an objective, macroscopic perspective.

It is like playing a game and controlling the character that is yourself. Start by controlling his thought settings, making him think and act in the direction you want.

To cultivate to such a point is what they call jailbreaking, bugs, and cheats.

What the hell cancer and tumors? They are all damned notions other people have drilled into you.

They are merely the result of habitual tendencies causing mutations in the energy within your body. They are not some damned incurable illness.

As long as you change this understanding, grasp the principles behind it, and transform yourself at the root—that is, in your heart and in your daily habits—

Then any illness will ultimately improve.

Conversely, the more you believe something cannot be cured, the more despondent and troubled you become, burying yourself in an abyss. Then the harder it will be for you to climb back out.

How could someone whose heart is already dead possibly live?

The heart is alive and can change freely. How could you possibly die?

If you can freely alter the laws of your body and mind, then you can naturally alter your habitual tendencies at will. Once your energy is balanced, those illnesses will naturally stop spreading or begin to improve.

The heart can kill, and the heart can save. Heart-spirit, heart-spirit—the heart is spirit.

Spiritual Terrace Square Inch Mountain, Slanting Moon Three Stars Cave, and the Bodhi Immortal are your thoughts.

If you can freely change your thoughts, then you are an immortal, you are a god, and you possess the power to heal all things.

The heart is the finest, finest divine medicine in this world.

To set your heart right means placing it in the exact center. As long as you place your heart in the center, you can wield the heart's power.

What the hell spiritual cultivation or divine cultivation? What they cultivate is all this heart. As the saying goes: heart-spirit, heart-god—the heart is the root of all things.

No matter what it is, you must begin with this root. Solve problems at their root, and everything will develop in a good direction with half the effort and twice the result.

Figure this out for yourselves. Listen more, watch more, think more.

Now let us discuss the subject of shallow ties to the Six Relations.

I think many friends have heard something like this online:

If everyone around you says you have a good personality and stable emotions, but the moment you communicate with your family, you become particularly impatient, and irritation unconsciously rises within you—yet when you see their sorrowful expressions or heads full of white hair, guilt wells up in your heart. Psychology calls this personality indifference disorder, and so on.

Those people who call themselves cultivators will tell you that, in cultivation, this is called shallow ties to the Six Relations. They will say it is because you see life too clearly, that you have had it so hard, that your emotions have been so turbulent, that you encountered so many difficulties along the way, and that many hurdles were crossed by you alone.

This kind of bullshit is really just meant to create resonance with you and make you believe what she says.

Because who the hell did not come all the way through life like this? Out of a hundred people, ninety-eight would be the same.

These are things normal people go through, yet they use them to stir emotional resonance in you. You will think she is absolutely right, that you are exactly that sort of person.

Hahaha. If you believed it, then you were brainwashed. It is comforting your heart—or, put another way, chicken soup for the soul.

The one good thing is that they will offer you a few words of advice at the end, saying that people like you are not without blessings; on the contrary, you possess great blessings. You should put your heart into your career and so on, and your future will be wonderfully good.

In truth, they are exploiting your shallow understanding and the weakness that your experiences cannot be shared with others, making you feel that she is unbelievably insightful and thus trust her. Then, whenever something goes wrong in your life, you will surely think of seeking her advice. While she gives you psychological counseling—performing rituals, selling spiritual talismans, and so on—she tells you what to do. In truth, she is changing your understanding. The more you believe, the more likely you are to succeed. It follows the same principle as The power of belief that I discussed before.

Thus, while gaining benefits from you, she also leaves you feeling that she truly helped you.

To put it bluntly, this is using the human heart to help people adjust their mindset—that is, transform their understanding.

But in immortal cultivation, shallow ties to the Six Relations in its true sense does not mean that someone is not close to their family.

These Six Relations refer to the Sentient Beings of the Six Paths of Rebirth.

Shallow ties to the Six Relations means that once a person cultivates to a certain state—the state of that line in the middle of the Taiji diagram that I mentioned—

At that time, you can see the patterns of human nature, or the patterns and states of sentient beings. Sometimes, it is not that they want to act this way or that way; it is simply that they are influenced by habitual tendencies.

You yourself will not be affected by these things. Your heart will not be bound by emotion, sentiment, or any other reason.

That is the true meaning of shallow ties to the Six Relations.

Because you understand the principle of thoughts arising and perishing, that they have no fixed, constant state.

You know they say certain things and do certain things only because of certain habitual factors, so you will not become tangled up or distressed over them.

Your heart can leap freely, coming and going as it pleases, and at any time clearly recognize the essence—or rather, the purpose—of matters amid all kinds of circumstances.

Seemingly heartless, yet full of feeling; seemingly indifferent, yet your heart is like a clear mirror, knowing better than anyone the beginning and end of the matter.

Thus, you do not become deeply trapped within it.

For example, a relative tells you that you should do this or that, yet that person has not lived particularly well himself and still comes to lecture you.

This can make you very irritated, but you know he merely means well and wants to offer some advice and help for your life based on his own understanding.

Sometimes, perhaps because they are too invested, they may even drag you along emotionally. That is something you cannot accept.

Because you do not want to be controlled or led around, much less have someone else dictate your life or how you live.

This is a perfectly normal emotional fluctuation, because all living beings enjoy freedom and ease, unrestrained and unfettered.

Once you see this clearly, you understand others while also understanding yourself.

If you can step outside habitual thinking and view it from beyond, then you have achieved the meaning of shallow ties to the Six Relations.
