We might always think that those who can see their true nature have no delusions or thoughts.
In reality, that's not the case; it's about non-attachment. As the saying goes, "The mind arises from a state of non-abiding."
A Bodhisattva should cultivate a mind of non-abiding. What does that mean? A Bodhisattva uses a mind of non-abiding.
The mind does not cling to appearances and practices generosity.
They practice generosity but do not cling to appearances. What kind of mind arises? A mind that is selfless and does not abide.
To put it plainly, a Bodhisattva cultivates a mind that benefits all sentient beings, without any attachment to the mind that arises.
In other words, after a person cultivates, they will still have some distracting thoughts, but they will not be attached to these thoughts.
This is what is meant by "the mind does not abide."
Look at very young children. When two of them play together and have a falling out, they start fighting.
When their parents see this, they start arguing, "Your son provoked my son first," or "Your son hit my son first."
After arguing for a long time, they look back and see that the two children are already playing together again, holding no grudges. Whatever happens, it passes quickly.
We who cultivate should learn this spirit from children, this natural and genuine state of non-attachment.
That is the innate heart.
You see, all the articles I've written revolve around breaking illusions, attachment, and so on, or other stories and theories.
It's not for nothing; even when I'm just proofreading for typos, I make progress.
This is because enlightenment is hard-won. I am constantly seeking enlightenment.
Some people may live their entire lives without gaining as much enlightenment as I have.
The more you realize, the more you apply it in your life and cultivation to verify it. You gain one for each verification, two for each two verifications.
This is akin to accumulating merit and blessings, or "blessing cards."
Then, one day, when it's time to settle accounts, you use them all up.
If you have accumulated enough merit and blessings, nothing can touch you on that day.
For example, if you were only destined to live eighty years, you could live to a hundred. Even King Yama would want you to live a few extra years to purify the environment, otherwise, Ox-Head and Horse-Face or Black and White Impermanence would have to wear masks when they come up. This is because the human world has been so polluted by self-proclaimed experts that even the underworld officials feel choked when they ascend.
The last time I went down to play, I was drinking with Brother Ox and Brother Horse. These two guys were complaining to me, telling me to hurry up and gather my forces, lead everyone in immortal cultivation, and raise the spiritual energy concentration in the human world. They said that one of their subordinates went up to collect a soul, and on the way back, before even reaching the Ghost Gate Pass, he collapsed on the ground, spitting. After being taken to the Underworld hospital and examined, they found he had contracted an expert-type degenerate virus. That guy was hospitalized for half a year and still has trouble walking.
As the saying goes, "To hear the Dao in the morning and die in the evening is enough." The sooner you cultivate, the better.
The sooner you cultivate, the sooner you achieve the Dao.
When you cultivate sufficiently and the spiritual energy is abundant, you will be impervious to all evil. You can even improve the environment and, like me, have your Primordial Spirit fly through the heavens and burrow through the earth.
Of course, I don't pursue these strange Supernatural Abilities, because in a sense, they are also forms of attachment.
But whether I pursue them or not, I must know how to do them and understand the principles behind them.
It's like before cultivating Buddhism, I would burn incense at every temple and read scriptures to calm my mind.
Now, I don't burn incense anymore. If I still burn incense, it's out of respect for the Buddha's wisdom, not to foolishly ask for blessings anymore.
Calming the mind is no longer so troublesome. I can simply visualize a specific object, or if someone has evil thoughts, visualize a Bodhisattva, and you'll see that your mind instantly becomes pure.
If you worship gods and Buddhas, would you dare to be presumptuous with them? It's that simple.
Before cultivating, you were like a readily available target, vulnerable to any beast that came along.
After cultivating, you transcend the realm of beasts and even become a being superior to ordinary humans.
Not only can beasts no longer harm you, but even ghosts and deities cannot.
Do you know why?
Because after cultivating to a certain level, a Vast Righteous Qi arises in the heart!
This thing is incredible. How can I describe it to you?
Once this is cultivated, no demons or monsters will dare to provoke you.
I am currently working hard to cultivate Vast Righteous Qi, and it feels absolutely amazing!
Even cultivating a little makes you incredibly powerful, and you walk with a swagger.
Before cultivating, you walked either meekly or ostentatiously. After cultivating, you feel confident, chest out, head held high, and always feel like a crowd is following you. At first, it's unnerving, but then you gradually accept yourself as a leader.
All the gods and Buddhas in heaven help you! Even gods want to be on your side, and ghosts want to be on your side.
For example, if you are fighting someone, and they are shouting and screaming, calling upon various great deities and immortals.
You just remain still, stand tall, and watch their performance with a smile.
After they are done shouting, the beings they called cannot harm you at all. In fact, they might even suffer a backlash. Isn't that formidable?
Having Vast Righteous Qi in your body is like wearing a reflective armor with super strong defensive properties.
It doesn't matter who they invite; if they don't touch you, you can just watch their performance like a circus act. Remember to applaud occasionally. If they ask you what you're doing, tell them to continue.
If they make physical contact with you, if they actively come to touch you, slap them back twice. Then, when they go to the toilet, stuff feces in their mouths.
They will immediately behave. All immortals will have to submit! Unless they invite a dog spirit, and if it's not afraid of eating shit, then feed it until it's full. Pour three to five catties down its throat. If your own feces aren't enough, find more people to defecate, and give it hot food. Since it came all the way up, let it eat its fill. Once it's full, it won't come back next time.
Just remember, anything truly invited is afraid of filth. So, throw all sorts of things at it – feces, menstrual blood, snot, and urine – and it'll run off once it's disgusted enough.
Don't bother with black dog blood or donkey hooves; those things don't work and are just for show, like in movies.
There's no immortal that can't be driven away with a splash of feces. If one appears, just throw more. If it still doesn't leave, then it's definitely something that eats feces by nature, either a dog immortal or a dung beetle great immortal.
Some friends might ask, what if a dog immortal or a dung beetle great immortal shows up and won't leave no matter how much feces it eats?
If it won't leave after eating feces, then you pour urine on it. Start with virgin boy's urine; that stuff is extremely yang.
If virgin boy's urine doesn't work, find an old man – the older, the better – and feed it a splash of his urine. That stuff is extremely potent, and the older the man, the more potent it is.
Hmph! As a player this unrefined, I can handle anyone who comes my way with extreme measures.
For humans, I use gentle methods. If gentle methods don't work, I don't treat them.
For ghosts, spirits, immortals, or demons, just hit them with the nasty stuff and feed them feces. They aren't human, so why be polite with them? There's no need to get into human relations with them either!
