I know many friends seem to have understood a little, yet also as if they understood nothing at all.
Let me explain it simply and crudely again.
It means that believing in Buddha will help you stay away from suffering. The more you believe Buddha can bless you, that you can achieve this or that, the more you will be able to do so.
But Buddha actually speaks of the qualities that already exist within you. It's not the image in your mind, a being with divine power that can bless you.
It's just that some people use this method to help you escape suffering. However, if you want to achieve true liberation, you need to truly understand what the real Buddha means, to learn Buddhist teachings and to comprehend them, rather than just believing in the Buddha in your own mind.
Then, you will be truly liberated and free from worries.
Actually, sometimes I think people are really hard to save, even harder than animals.
Small animals have simple minds; if you guide them, they will do it.
But human minds are too complicated, especially in this era.
The Dharma-ending age, the depletion of spiritual energy – these two sentences truly strike at the heart.
I have to admire those eminent monks and great virtuous ones who persist in this endeavor their entire lives.
Some people don't even know what thought or consciousness is, let alone the subconscious.
Some people can't even distinguish between Conscious Spirit and Primordial Spirit, so you can't explain it to them.
But if you tell them:
"Your background is quite significant." (Flattery)
"When you go out, you're incredibly awesome." (Boasting)
"After you set up the table, you won't need to learn; you'll be enlightened without a teacher." (Saving trouble)
"After you set up the table, everything will be perfect, and everything will go smoothly." (Making grand promises)
"After you set up the table, you'll be able to see things, and then you can make money from it." (Greed)
"You're self-enlightened and don't need a teacher; you can just figure it out after setting up the table." (Shifting blame)
"There aren't enough people, so go walk in the mountains and visit temples more often to receive blessings." (Forcing it)
Hahaha, This is how people get manipulated, easily believing and then living according to these patterns.
Now, I occasionally still say a few words to awaken people as fate allows, such as "Awakening, Righteousness, Purity," "taking refuge in the Three Jewels of one's own nature," "awakened but not deluded, righteous but not evil, pure but not stained," and then explain the meaning of these three points.
However, I feel happiest when I'm writing books.
Because I don't need to bother with explanations, nor do I need to do thankless work by offering free guidance to people.
Moreover, I've always known the attribute of human nature being inherently evil, yet I always speak with a kind heart.
I know this isn't good, because with different perceptions, very few people can understand what I'm saying.
It's like a university student explaining a problem to an elementary school student; the elementary student doesn't even know what you're talking about, so how can they understand?
If people haven't even understood the most basic things, how can they know what you're talking about?
This is this poor monk's fault, the fault of my self-attachment. I'm not a monk or a Taoist, so what the hell am I teaching?
Master said that cultivation is about cultivating oneself. I am already free from worries, so why should I care about them?
If they have headaches, if they suffer, if they are deceived, what does it have to do with me? Is it because I have let go of self-attachment? Because I am selfless?
Stop bullshitting. If I were to silently save people like this, it would still be attachment.
Even doing so as fate allows is still attachment.
I should care less about the joys and sorrows of others. Or should I be a villain? Play the game of evil better than those people?
Or just don't do it. Since I cultivate Non-discrimination, where do good and bad, kindness and evil come from?
Should I use this set of tricks on them too? Should I also start deceiving people with skillful means to make them happy for a while?
Forget it, screw that! I'd better focus on cultivating myself.
Otherwise, every single thought that arises will be stored, and in the end, I'll be the one paying the price.
When I leave this world and achieve ascension, I won't have to deal with this anymore.
This human world is good in every way, except for this thing called the human heart, which is quite wicked.
Then, I'll just secretly indulge in a bit of selfishness, arrange things for my family, arrange things for those who believe in me, and that will be enough.
I'll only save those who believe in me. As for everyone else, they can go to hell for all I care. Anyway, I can control my thoughts at will, shift environments, and I can remain untouched by any Karma. I'm such a formidable figure, damn it!
I suddenly remembered a sentence that arose from my own ignorance during middle school: "The kind are bullied, the good horses are ridden. If you don't want to be bullied, then you bully others."
That sentence completely changed my personality back then. Should I continue to roam the immortal cultivation world wildly, borrowing this curse from who knows which past life?
Should I fight and compete with all the cultivators in the world?
I imagine they would definitely say something like, "Cultivators don't strive for superiority or engage in conflict."
If I wanted to find someone who could truly fight me, I'd have to do it in my dreams.
Because their greatest ability is to fool those who don't understand anything. The slightly more capable ones are all hiding away, cultivating on their own.
They disdained to waste their breath on those scoundrels.
As for me, whether it's fighting in person or from afar, I haven't truly encountered a single master.
Back when I read The Return of the Condor Heroes and Yang Guo obtained Senior Dugu Qiubai's swords, I thought the words written next to the swords were just for show.
Now I understand the loneliness of being invincible.
"Having roamed the jianghu for over thirty years, I have slain all my enemies and defeated all heroes. With no rivals left in the world, I had no choice but to retreat to a secluded valley, making wine my only companion. Alas, in my life, I sought a worthy opponent in vain, and the loneliness is truly unbearable." — Sword Demon Dugu Qiubai
I feel exactly like this now.
Everyone claims how powerful they are, how profound their magic is, but most are just common folk, easily defeated.
They can't even do something as simple as summon rain.
I'm sitting at home, and I can point to any region and make it rain there.
This is too difficult. I'm just a newborn calf, why is there no one who can fight me?
It's not that I'm seeking glory, it's just that the true masters are hiding too well. Everyone on the surface is trash.
They're either salesmen or scammers, what a joke?
As an immortal cultivator, alas. Sigh...
From ancient times to the present, those who established their own sects have all experienced many great battles and ultimately gained fame throughout the world.
I will transform thought into sword and create a unique school.
In the current immortal cultivation world, who else but me can be the Sect Master of the Wuji Sword Sect?
The swords are ready, the edges are sharpened, but there are absolutely no opponents. It's all just bragging.
Teacher Ma, who founded the Hunyuan Taiji Sect, even participated in several competitions. Although he lost, he was still honored in defeat.
Yet I, a cultivator, have no suitable opponents in the human world. They are all at the Great Perfection stage of Foundation Establishment or Qi Refining, or even Core Formation.
The few who have Shattered Core to Form Nascent Soul are all from the Dharma cultivator lineage.
I wouldn't dare challenge a current-world sage, because I'm on their side. Firstly, I admire their great virtue from the bottom of my heart, and secondly, I genuinely regard them as a senior and have always followed their teachings.
Do I have to detach my Primordial Spirit and fight in other worlds?
Actually, I really love fighting with cultivators
