Monger saw the xenos demigod crouched beneath the tower-like Warp engine.

The psychic shock nearly made Monger vomit.

It was a colossal beast nearly six meters tall, with six limbs and a tail. Its skin was deep purple, and layers upon layers of angular chitinous armor covered its entire body.

Its enormous, grotesque head was an elongated triangle, with beastly eyes as thin as knife-cuts set on either side of its skull.

Those eyes were filled with malice, hatred, corruption, and greed.

His powerful, lizard-like legs crouched atop a massive pipe beneath the Warp engine. Two three-clawed giant talons, capable of tearing apart vehicles, were embedded in the metal pipe, while the other two spread open at his sides like wings.

This creature seemed not to be a creation of the mortal world, nor a life-form that could be born within the galaxy.

It seemed like some profound malice from an even darker void, the mouthpiece of some greater will within the hive city.

The instant Monger saw that monster, he felt bone-deep terror, and his legs could not stop trembling.

The others around him were likewise frightened stiff, powerful terror battering their hearts.

Most of them had their mouths hanging wide open, so terrified that they could only let out soundless wails.

This was a gap in the very level of life itself. That monster was absolutely not something mortals could contend against.

Monger even had the urge to run. He felt utterly powerless.

It was as though he had returned to childhood, to the time when his horns had first begun to grow.

His crazed mother had rushed at them with pliers and a kitchen knife.

Malkit had desperately hugged their mother's thigh, only to be left bloody and battered, his horns cut off.
