When Lin Changqiang and Lin Dong entered the Wanjin Chamber of Commerce, they saw five people facing one another. On one side stood Xuan Su and Xia Zhilan; on the other were a blue-clad young man with feminine features and two elderly men.
"Chief Steward Su, are these the better candidates you mentioned? They both look utterly ordinary to me." The two old men casually glanced at Lin Changqiang and Lin Dong, speaking with obvious disdain.
"Young masters, these two elders are managers of our Wanjin Chamber of Commerce. The one beside them is Song Qing, the young master of the Song Family." Xuan Su gave the two of them a helpless smile.
"You're Song Qing?" Lin Changqiang looked at him, then glanced at Xia Zhilan. For some reason, Zhou Zhiruo and Song Qingshu suddenly came to mind.
"That's right. I am Song Qing, young master of the Song Family in Flame City."
Song Qing rose to his feet and walked toward Lin Changqiang and Lin Dong with a smile, politely cupping his hands in greeting. Yet a cold, faint voice soon reached their ears, unheard by anyone else.
"You two had better withdraw on your own. If you do, I'll give you some compensation. Otherwise... you'd better watch yourselves in Flame City from now on!"
"You two, the Immortal Pool Competition is not as simple as you think," one of the old men said blandly. "Do you even have the strength to compete with Young Master Song Qing?"
