Julian still went home that night, but he brought Menas with him. The moment he entered, he waved to everyone and introduced her. "Let me introduce you to a new sister—Menas of the Giant race." The women all spoke up at once. "A Giant race girl? How did she become so small?"
Alice looked utterly disgusted as she said, "So that's where you ran off to. You were nowhere to be seen all day, sneaking off to fool around again. Forget it, forget it. I can't be bothered to lecture you." Alice rolled her eyes again. "You really are something." But considering Menas's feelings, she added, "Welcome." Julian felt that once you had enough lice, a few more bites did not matter. "Sorry for the trouble."
"It's no trouble," Alice said. "As long as you can handle it, anything goes." Menas spoke timidly. "Sorry for disturbing you. I truly apologize." Alice replied, "I hope you can get used to it. He's rather fickle." Menas was extremely awkward as well. "Sorry."
Julian immediately said, "The villa next door is still empty. I'll take you over there so you can familiarize yourself with the place this morning." Alice smiled. "Little sister, you've just arrived. We're actually all easy to get along with, unlike certain people who make us sound so petty." Julian looked as if he had suffered a critical blow and hurriedly said, "I'm the head of this household. What I say goes." Menas smiled. "I'd better stay next door. I still prefer living alone." Julian quickly said, "I'll take you over. I'm worried you won't be used to it."
Alice said with a look of disgust, "You should move over there too. We're all pregnant here, and you make too much noise at night. We can't adapt to that." Julian
