A day later, an organization slightly larger than the current Akatsuki Organization received intelligence that Sunagakure was going to form an alliance with Hanzo and become enemies with Konoha once more.
The intelligence indicated that Sunagakure would help Hanzo eliminate organizations of all sizes within Amegakure. Amegakure, meanwhile, publicly announced that it was ending its alliance with Konoha and renewing its alliance with Sunagakure.
The intelligence had arrived very suddenly, but it was still somewhat credible. Because of what had happened in the Land of Whirlpools, the entire ninja world knew that Konoha had suffered devastating losses. It was not impossible for Hanzo to change allies.
Most importantly, the leader of this organization did not dare disbelieve it. If the intelligence was true, then they would be in danger.
