Naming Quasi-Yin Attribute Chakra

Teacher Ishikawa's actions were unknown to Yichen. After school, Teacher Ishikawa called him away from the classroom.

He would normally have stayed in the classroom to train at this hour. It was impossible not to feel nervous upon suddenly hearing that the Tsuchikage wanted to see him.

He had seen Ōnoki before. When the Ninja Academy opened, the man had appeared and given a rather brainwashing speech. But Yichen had been too far away to see him clearly then.

Now that he was being summoned alone, Yichen, as a transmigrator, felt a little uneasy.

But then again, in this ninja world crawling with monsters, what sort of genius had Ōnoki not seen? No matter how wild his imagination was, he could not possibly guess that Yichen had transmigrated souls, could he?

Following Teacher Ishikawa to the Tsuchikage's Office, Yichen and Ishikawa did not wait long this time, since Ōnoki had given advance notice. They soon met Ōnoki.

Ōnoki was not working at the moment, as though he had been waiting for Ishikawa and Yichen. Two Ninja stood beside him as well. When the three saw Ishikawa and Yichen enter, they immediately turned their attention to Yichen.

Ōnoki floated into the air before Yichen and spoke first. "Little Yichen, Teacher Ishikawa has already reported your situation to me. We need to examine your body now. It will not hurt you. Are you willing?"

Yichen nodded. "Lord Tsuchikage, thank you for your concern. I'll cooperate." Yichen nodded as he spoke, acting cute.

"Mm, what an obedient child." Ōnoki praised Yichen, then gestured for the other two to begin the examination.

These two were clearly much more professional than the Sensory Ninja from before. One examined Yichen's body first. Once he finished, the other placed a hand on Yichen's lower abdomen and began sensing him.

A moment later, the two began reporting the results of their examinations.

The first said, "Lord Tsuchikage, this child's physique is average. It is considerably better than that of his peers, but being able to refine Chakra is already the limit for this body. This Chakra Amount truly should not be something this body can withstand."

Ōnoki nodded and looked toward the second man.

The second man pondered for a moment before saying, "Lord Tsuchikage, the Chakra inside this child is not Yin Release Chakra."

"However, the proportions within this Chakra are indeed different from normal. The proportion of Mental Power appears to have been increased."

"Although I do not know how he accomplished it, one thing is certain: using this kind of Chakra as a foundation, it will be much easier for him than others to practice Chakra Nature Transformation and turn his Chakra into Yin Release Chakra."

"I suspect this is related to his Mental Power being far beyond that of ordinary people. I estimated it just now—his Mental Power is even slightly stronger than that of an untrained adult."

Ōnoki was somewhat disappointed upon hearing this. Still, although it was not innate Yin Release Chakra, the advantage in practicing Nature Transformation was obvious.

He was still a rare genius. The only question now was whether Yichen could enter that state again and refine Chakra once more.

Ōnoki looked at Yichen and asked, "Little Yichen, can you extract this kind of Chakra again?"

Yichen shook his head. "Lord Tsuchikage, I'm not sure. I tried during the day today, but I didn't succeed. Maybe I'll have a chance of succeeding after I fall asleep tonight."

Ōnoki pondered briefly, then turned around and took a scroll from his desk before handing it to Yichen. He instructed, "Little Yichen, this scroll contains knowledge related to Yin Release Chakra."

"Ordinarily, you would need to exchange Contribution Points to the village for it. But the situation is special now, so I'll give it to you first. I hope it will help you. However, in return for the village, if you gain any insights, you must contribute them to the village free of charge. Do you understand?"

Yichen was overjoyed and quickly nodded, loudly saying, "Thank you, Lord Tsuchikage!"

Ōnoki's handling of the matter appeared fair, but he had actually given Yichen considerable leeway.

If Yichen had needed to exchange his future contributions for a scroll like this, it would have taken several years of Ninja missions to accumulate enough.

As for exchanging his own insights for it, that was entirely for show.

After all, if Yichen truly gained insights, who would know if he chose not to write them down and only recorded some trivial, irrelevant things instead?

And even if Yichen carefully documented everything, others might not be able to apply it without Yichen's talent.

Besides, being able to use his insights to offset the Contribution Points needed for this scroll was entirely Yichen taking advantage.

More importantly, there was time. Yichen's only advantage right now was his talent, and talent that had yet to be realized was worthless in the short term.

Being able to trade something insignificant to his future self for something he desperately needed now—Yichen thought, why couldn't this kind of good thing happen every day?

Ōnoki was not particularly surprised by Yichen's reaction. After reading Yichen's information, he had already known that Yichen was very mature and could be communicated with as an adult.

Holding the scroll, Yichen seized the opportunity and said, "Lord Tsuchikage, if there's anything I don't understand, may I come ask you?"

Yichen was somewhat nervous as he said this. He had two things to rely on: the special treatment afforded to geniuses, and the innocence of a child.

But no one present was foolish. Compared to his earlier performance, no one would truly regard Yichen as a child who understood nothing.

It was simply that no one would expose it. So even if Ōnoki refused, Yichen would not lose anything, aside from losing quite a few points in Ōnoki and the others' estimation.

Fortunately, as the Kage of a village, nurturing the younger generation was a responsibility. Thus, though Yichen felt nervous, Ōnoki did not mind.

Ōnoki nodded readily and smiled. "Of course. If Little Yichen has any difficulties in daily life, you can come find me as well."

Yichen was delighted. At the very least, he had obtained a ticket into the Tsuchikage's Office Building. As for what it would be used for in the future, he did not need to worry about that yet. If he kept this privilege that was not quite a privilege, perhaps it might bring him some pleasant surprises.

On the way back, Teacher Ishikawa specifically reminded Yichen, "Yichen, Lord Tsuchikage has been worrying over the war lately. He's very busy and tired. So although Lord Tsuchikage agreed to it, don't disturb him unless it's something especially important. Understand?"

Yichen nodded. "I understand. And thank you too, Teacher Ishikawa." Ōnoki was merely an extra move on the board; Ishikawa was the long-term path. There would be plenty of chances to benefit from him in the future, so how could Yichen dare not listen?

After hiding the scroll close to his body, Yichen ate his usual two dinners and did another round of physical training. Then he washed up early and began reading the scroll.

The scroll's contents consisted of two parts. One covered Iwagakure's understanding of Yin Release Secret Techniques, with particular emphasis on the secret techniques of Konoha's Nara Clan, Yamanaka Clan, and others. The other discussed methods for practicing Yin Release Chakra.

The material in the scroll was enormously helpful to Yichen, greatly expanding his store of knowledge. Many things he had only half understood before now became clear.

First was the understanding of Yin Release Secret Techniques. Although it did not include detailed training methods for the Nara Clan and the like, for Yichen, the door to truth had already opened. All that remained was to spend time slowly experimenting.

The Yin Release training methods, on the other hand, were not very useful to Yichen right now. Yichen's Chakra was still far from sufficient even to perform Ninjutsu, much less train Yin Release Chakra.

Following the scroll's descriptions and combining them with his own circumstances, Yichen slowly began adjusting his meditation method, hoping to discover a new extraction method uniquely suited to himself.

Then he would produce Chakra with a ratio of Mental Power to physical energy completely different from before.

Though he had not succeeded yet, based on his current line of thought, he estimated that results would come before long. Thus, Yichen named this Chakra suited to himself Quasi-Yin Attribute Chakra in advance.

In the days that followed, aside from continuing his taijutsu training as usual, Yichen used all the time he had originally spent refining Chakra to develop this new extraction method.

Things were more complicated than he had imagined. He had thought the door was already open and only the final step remained, but he was unable to take that step for a long time.

It was not until one night two months later, when Yichen had long since calmed himself and was no longer excited or thrilled, that he finally succeeded in extracting Quasi-Yin Attribute Chakra once again.

Unlike the first time, this extraction was accomplished while he was completely awake. Moreover, this success meant that Yichen had opened a new door, paving a path for his future.

Not only that, Yichen had formed a conjecture.

For normal people, once they began training in childhood, they only needed to train according to the same method, because as they grew, their physical strength and Mental Power improved in tandem.

Although the extent of the two increases differed, the body's self-regulation could establish a new balance. Since the difference was not great, there was no need to change the training method.

But Yichen was different. He discovered that as time passed, although his physique improved significantly, his Mental Power seemed to improve even faster.

Moreover, this rate of growth had already affected the proportions involved in his Chakra extraction. He had no choice but to constantly adjust those proportions to achieve a new balance.

Because of this, Yichen guessed that his body grew through training like that of any normal person, but because his soul was a fusion of a young child and an adult, its foundation was far stronger than normal.

Even more amazingly, after the fusion, that already powerful soul continued to grow stronger like a child.

To put it as an arithmetic problem, the soul strength of other children was like 1, and if they did not train, it would become 5 when they grew up.

Yichen's starting value, however, was 6. And this soul with a strength of 6 would gradually grow as well—not by adding 4, but by multiplying by 5.

In other words, without considering the boosts brought by training, Yichen's soul strength could reach 30 by adulthood.

Do not think that there was little difference just because both were fivefold. Five times an adult's soul strength might not be enough for a qualitative transformation, but the benefits it brought would absolutely exceed imagination.

If the enhancements from training were included, it was hard to imagine what level it would reach by then.

That was also why Yichen understood how terrifying the Uzumaki Clan was. Naruto's Chakra as a child had been enough to make Chunin Mizuki doubt his entire life.

Calculating it based on the Chakra ratio between a Ninja's childhood and adulthood, Naruto's Chakra Amount as an adult would absolutely be an astronomical figure.
