• Yichen prepared Sakura, Shion, and Yakumo Kurama for the exams, then arranged intensive combat training while making plans against Konoha.
• Orochimaru and Kabuto Yakushi learned that the Fifth Mizukage was heading to Konoha, discussed Iwagakure’s apparent involvement with the Two-Tails, and suspected Yichen might target Kumogakure.
• Yichen’s forces completed covert mobilization, while Izumi Uchiha led Karin, Tsurugi, Suda Himezuki, and Kaze to rescue the Ninja Cat Clan from its watchers.

• Kakashi vanished using Flying Thunder God and joined the Seven-Tails Jinchuriki to attack Shinno, while Yichen prepared to face Kisame alone.
• Ōnoki’s Iwa forces wore down the Mist army, then launched a general assault that killed hundreds and sent the survivors fleeing as Darui and Killer B arrived too late to save them.

• Natsuki revealed that she had used Spirit Transformation Jutsu to kill the Cloud commander and sensory ninja, leaving the Cloud forces without command as the Iwa ninja pursued them.

• Yichen offered Baki Sunagakure territory and a place among the Five Great Ninja Villages if Gaara and Sunagakure joined Iwagakure against Konoha, while warning that Konoha or Orochimaru might target the One-Tail.
• Yichen used Porcelain Release, Light Release, and repulsive force to pressure Kisame, but Kisame escaped a Porcelain Barrier with help from his two guards.

• Yichen defeated Kisame, took Samehada, and pursued him until Shibi Aburame intervened, while Kakashi confronted Shinno with Wood Release and nearly killed him.
