Incense Burning Valley was one of the three great pillars of the Righteous Path, standing alongside the Qingyun Sect and Tianyin Temple as one of its three major sects. Incense Burning Valley had a long history; a thousand years ago, its disciples had already roamed the world, slaying demons and exterminating monsters.

Yet the tides of the world dictated that prosperity must decline, and decline would in turn give rise to prosperity.

The Incense Burning Valley of today had long since lost the strength it possessed in earlier times. Even its treasure that safeguarded the valley had now vanished without a trace.

In the deepest reaches of Incense Burning Valley stood a Profound Fire Altar.

The Profound Fire Altar was an enormous circular altar, its base suspended in the air. Thirteen massive white marble pillars supported the entire structure.

Twelve white marble pillars stood around the altar's edge. Each was thick enough for two people to wrap their arms around, and incomprehensible runes were carved upon them. The white jade pillar at the very center of the altar required at least five or six people to encircle it.

The altar's top was forged from a strange scarlet stone. The ground and railings were all made from the same material. The scarlet platform looked exceedingly eerie, red light gleaming across it like flickering flames, making for a most peculiar sight.

At the altar's center rose a grand and towering hall. It was shaped like a pagoda, with three levels in total. Each level was half the size of the one below it, yet every level stood dozens of feet tall, an astonishing sight.

Standing beneath the altar, Xiao Han could feel just how insignificant he was, as though comparing a man to an ant.
