"What good news?"
Kaigin was stunned at this point. He almost fainted when he first saw Rimuru swallow the precious sword he had painstakingly crafted.
He only didn't stop them because Mo Li and Rimuru were his friends and had saved his life.
Now, Mo Li was talking about good news. Was there really any good news now?
"It's that there's a way to solve your problem."
Mo Li said with a confident expression.
"A way to solve it? Don't try to fool me."
Kaigin looked unconvinced.
"Besides, can the situation get any worse? We had one sword, and now we don't have any. And you call that good news? Sigh."
Kaigin's face was filled with despair.
Seeing Kaigin's state, Mo Li wasn't in a hurry.
"Master Kaigin, we can indeed help you. However, we also have something we need your help with."
Mo Li said calmly to Kaigin.
"Sigh, even if you couldn't help me solve this problem, I wouldn't refuse your request. Just tell me now. I'm afraid I won't have the chance later."
Kaigin said with a sigh.
"Since you've said so. Then Rimuru, let's open Master Kaigin's eyes."
Mo Li said to Rimuru.
"No problem, A'Li."
Rimuru responded confidently.
Then, Rimuru spat out the precious sword it had swallowed.
Seeing this, Kaigin quickly hugged the precious sword to his chest. This was the culmination of his efforts over so many days. Fortunately, it was unharmed.
"Alright, Master Kaigin, step back a bit. I'm going to start."
Rimuru warned Kaigin.
"Start what?"
Kaigin looked confused.
"Alright, don't ask anymore. You just need to know that we are helping you."
Mo Li pulled Kaigin to the side and said.
Just as Kaigin was wondering, the scene before his eyes instantly plunged him into shock and disbelief.
Rimuru, with a "whoosh," spat out a precious sword.
"Kaigin, see if it's the same as the sword in your hand?"
Mo Li said to Kaigin, who was currently questioning his own existence.
"Roar, roar, got it."
Kaigin finally reacted and hurriedly walked to Rimuru's front, picked up the sword, and examined it carefully.
"Hoo."
Kaigin took a deep breath. Not only was the craftsmanship identical, but the materials were also exactly the same. But how was this possible? He knew that with his skills, it took him a full half a month to forge this one precious sword. How could this slime in front of him have produced one so quickly?
"How is it? Is it exactly the same as your precious sword?"
Mo Li asked Kaigin.
"Yes, it's exactly the same. But how did you do it?"
Kaigin quickly asked Mo Li.
"Don't rush. Let's wait until Rimuru finishes copying the remaining swords."
Mo Li said calmly.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh."
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh."
Following that, one precious sword after another was spat out from Rimuru's mouth. Each one shone with the unique luster of Magic Ore, identical to the sword forged by Kaigin.
In a short while, twenty swords had been produced.
"A'Li, I have fulfilled my mission. I have perfectly completed the task."
Rimuru jumped into Mo Li's arms to claim its reward.
"Mhm, Rimuru is the best."
Mo Li praised Rimuru.
"Kaigin, take a look. Twenty swords, plus the two you have, that's more than enough."
Mo Li said calmly to Kaigin.
Kaigin hadn't snapped out of his daze from the previous scene yet.
"It's... it's done already?"
Kaigin asked, looking like his entire worldview had been shattered.
"What did you expect?"
Mo Li retorted.
Kaigin still couldn't believe that the problem that had troubled him for days had been solved by these two in less than ten minutes.
"In less than ten minutes, they forged twenty... no, twenty-one longswords."
"Was it that casual? They didn't even give me time to prepare."
It was only then that Kaigin truly reacted. His heart was pounding like a drum, and adrenaline coursed through him.
He shakily picked up the precious sword from the ground.
The precious sword was not just similar to the ones he forged; they were identical.
He ran his fingers over the patterns on the sword, feeling the familiar blade.
"Hahahaha, hahahaha."
Kaigin suddenly burst into laughter.
"There really are twenty, and even extra! Let's see how Besta tries to trip me up now."
Kaigin exclaimed loudly.
Watching Kaigin's reaction.
"See? I didn't lie to you!"
Mo Li chimed in.
"No, no, you didn't."
Kaigin only then remembered that Mo Li and Rimuru were still there.
"My lords, I apologize for my earlier doubts. Please forgive me."
Kaigin bowed.
"It's fine, it's only natural to feel that way. There's no need to apologize."
Rimuru said dismissively.
"Right, rationally speaking, I wouldn't believe it either."
Mo Li stated calmly.
"Thank you for your forgiveness."
Kaigin said gratefully.
"Of course, we didn't help for free."
Rimuru then spoke up.
"Please, tell me what you need, my benefactors. If there's anything I can do, I won't refuse."
Kaigin said hastily upon hearing Rimuru's words, his voice filled with sincerity.
"It's actually not a difficult matter. We need some skilled craftsmen. We are from the outskirts of the Jura Great Forest, and our people lack the skills to build houses or make weapons. That's why we came here looking for dwarves who have mastered these techniques."
Rimuru explained their purpose to Kaigin.
"I see. Don't worry, leave this to me. We have plenty of people in the Dwarf Kingdom, especially those with skills."
Kaigin patted his chest reassuringly.
"But what kind of technical personnel do you need?"
Kaigin then asked Rimuru.
"Uh, people who can build houses, forge weapons and armor, make clothes, and farm. We need skilled workers in these areas."
Rimuru pondered for a moment before replying.
"No problem, leave it to me. I have several brothers who are experts in these fields. They can do all of that."
Kaigin said confidently to Rimuru.
"Then we'll leave it to you, Master Kaigin."
Rimuru said gratefully.
"Don't call me Master, just Kaigin is fine. You've helped me so much, this is a small matter. Without your help, I might not have even survived."
Kaigin chuckled.
"Since there's nothing else, we'll be taking our leave."
At this moment, Mo Li spoke.
"Yes, we won't disturb you any further. We two will take our leave first."
Rimuru reacted and said to Kaigin.
"Oh, what disturbance? The matter is resolved now, and I have nothing else to do. Let me take you to a good place."
Kaigin winked at Rimuru and Mo Li.
