Everyone in the Imperial Army felt immense pressure.
Especially from the being calling himself the "Undead King," who sat atop a throne of bones and radiated endless pressure.
But they had no choice now, nor did they have time to think about anything else.
And so, the battle began.
But rather than a battle, it was more like a one-sided massacre.
The undead army under Adaman's command was made entirely of monsters with the "undying" attribute. Ordinary attacks could not harm them in the slightest.
This deeply shocked the Imperial Army. Unable to defeat the undead army quickly, they descended into chaos.
Not only that, but the miasma within this space began to spread into the Imperial Army's ranks.
Making their situation even more difficult.
The miasma's corruption, coupled with powerful undead enemies possessing "undying nature."
Fate seemed to be toying with the Imperial Army, leaving them unable to see even the slightest hope of victory.
Endless despair infected the Imperial soldiers' hearts, crushing their souls.
And that was not even the most despairing part.
The most despairing thing was that even holy-element magic attacks—the natural enemy of the undead—had no effect whatsoever on these monsters.
It was all because of the unique skill, "Holy-Demonic Reversal."
Once they realized that these monsters were immune to holy-element magic, the last shred of hope in the Imperial Army's hearts was utterly extinguished. The Imperial soldiers fell completely into boundless despair.
Before the threat of death, no one could remain indifferent. They had already forgotten the mission that had brought them here, and even the conditions for clearing the labyrinth had slipped entirely
