This wall of air had not appeared out of nowhere; it was the Castle Tower's barrier.
The Kirigakure ninja were shocked when they saw this. They realized things had not gone as they had expected.
After discovering that the Demon Weapon had been destroyed, they had originally planned to leave the city immediately.
But ninja put their missions first.
With the Demon Weapon destroyed and the demon about to awaken, assassinating the daimyo would be utterly unwise no matter how they looked at it.
After discussing it, they ultimately decided to do nothing.
Because once the demon awakened, barring any surprises, it would begin slaughtering everything around it.
