The sun overhead shone with a light that was not particularly hot, and Yamato swung his hoe intermittently.
Yamato had already forgotten how long he had been living like this.
For the time being, though, he had no intention of stopping.
He had discovered that his Wood Release seemed to improve considerably while he farmed.
"So this was Hokage-sama's true purpose! He was training my Wood Release!"
Well, let him keep misunderstanding.
When Naruto and Sasuke found Neji, they were rather surprised.
They had expected Neji to be either lecturing a classroom full of students or leading them through taijutsu drills on the training field.
But when they found him, they discovered that his "students" were not students at all.
They were the school's ninja teachers.
"What brings you two here?"
With his Byakugan, Neji had noticed them long ago.
At first, he had not paid them much attention. Perhaps they had something to take care of.
He had not expected Naruto and Sasuke to linger here, though.
Neji knew they had come to see him.
"Well... um..."
Naruto and Sasuke looked embarrassed. They had been caught before they had even started sneaking a peek.
"Ahem... we heard you'd become a specially appointed teacher at the Ninja Academy, so we came to take a look."
Sasuke was embarrassed for only a moment before recovering.
With his and Naruto's status, where couldn't they go, aside from the few restricted areas in the Hidden Leaf Village?
They could practically do whatever they pleased in the village.
It was just that one of them did not understand his own status, while the other's family upbringing would not allow him to behave that way.
