Feeling Nagato's mental fluctuations settle, Hinata knew he had fallen asleep.
Watching the sleeping Nagato, Hinata could imagine that he probably hadn't slept a wink during his days in captivity.
Ummm... he didn't seem to have eyes anymore.
With a wave of her hand, Hinata severed the chains on Nagato's body and the tubes behind him.
Then Nagato's body rose into the air and floated toward Hinata.
Nagato floated facedown. Hinata had deliberately arranged it that way.
She had only cut the tubes behind Nagato; their ends were still attached to his back.
Through her tenseigan, Hinata could see that the ends of these tubes connected to the area around Nagato's heart.
Pulling them straight out could easily damage his heart.
Nagato's body was far too weak now. An injury to his heart could easily threaten his life, so she could only stabilize him first and take him back to the Hidden Leaf Village for treatment.
Hinata teleported to the Hidden Leaf Hospital.

Nagato needed some time to recuperate, and by the time he had recovered enough, Tsunade should have returned.
After all, few people in the Hidden Leaf Village could perform surgery involving the heart, and those who could had all been sent to the Land of Wind.
Before leaving, Hinata also made sure to notify Konan.
Learning that Nagato had been rescued filled Konan with joy. She bowed in the direction of the already-departed Hinata, then hurried to the Hidden Leaf Hospital to take care of Nagato.
Upon returning to the base, Hinata discovered that the battle had already changed in that short time.
Some of her puppets had been destroyed.
"Looks like puppets alone aren't enough. Little Black."
