"Little Flower, do you think we should just become crows?" Crow A asked.
"But, Big Strong, we're still human," Crow B replied.
"Human? What's so good about being human? Worrying about this and that every day, constantly afraid that something might be hiding under the bed, behind the window, inside a painting, or in the computer in the middle of the night... How could that compare to being a crow?" Crow A said disdainfully.
"Hmm, now that you put it that way, it does seem true. Being a crow is pretty comfortable," Crow B agreed.
"Exactly. Back when I was human, I loved reading beast-transformation novels. People turning into eagles, tigers, dogs, cats, ants, bees, even maggots."
"Uh, the others are one thing, but whoever wanted to turn into a maggot had truly unusual tastes," Crow B said in horror.
"Whatever. But do you know? All those beast-transformation novels have one huge flaw, as far as I'm concerned," Crow A said dismissively.
"What flaw?"
"They turn into beasts, yet don't reproduce according to beast customs. They always insist they're still human... So pretentious!" Crow A scoffed viciously.
"Hmm, that actually makes a lot of sense. The beast-transformation novels I read really didn't have anyone reproducing according to beast customs. A lot of them turned back into humans in the end. How boring. If you do something, you should commit to it."
"See? I knew you thought the same way I did. Come on, let's achieve this great breakthrough! Two crows transformed from humans, laying eggs together! Let's create a new race!" As Crow A spoke, he moved to mount her like a rooster.
"I'm not laying eggs with you. Even if I lay eggs, I'll find my dream man..." Crow B flapped her wings and flew away, landing beside another
