More than half a day later, the four teams returned one after another. The last to come back was Team Three.
Wenren Sheng immediately gave all six members of Team Three an X.
Because from high in the air, he had seen that after walking just over a kilometer and leaving everyone's sight, they had gone behind a rocky outcrop, argued for a few moments, then begun recklessly wasting water and bread. They poured water over their heads, took two bites of bread before tossing it away—every last one of them did it.
They only stopped wasting supplies once half the water was gone.
Wenren Sheng had floated into the air only after all four teams had set out, so none of them knew he could watch their every move from above.
The people in Team Two were more honest. They had gone the farthest, traveling more than ten kilometers. In a place filled with flames and lava, going that far was no easy feat.
The other two teams had traveled a more normal distance, around seven or eight kilometers. Including the time spent exploring, there was nothing unusual about it.
For them, the only good news was that there were no deadly beasts anywhere along the route. Of course, that was also bad news.
Because it meant the local ecosystem could not support the development of a food chain.
