"Yes, Heavenly Father." Yang Weite replied respectfully.

Then he stepped out of the void and entered the present world.

He walked up to the shattered walls of the battlefield. It took him quite a while to make out that this had originally been a fortress. Now, it was nothing but ruins.

Only a very few places still had intact rooms. Everywhere else had become broken walls.

In a corner near the walls, a wounded soldier quickly noticed him.

But the soldier merely looked at him a few times before lowering his head to arrange his armor and weapons, tightening his bandages without asking a single question.

"Take me to your highest-ranking officer." Yang Weite rested the Resurrection Scepter in his hand on the man's shoulder, and green light wrapped around the soldier.

The soldier stared in astonishment as the wound on his arm rapidly healed.

"Y-you, who are you?" The soldier finally roused himself, stood up, and asked in shock.

"I come from God's Kingdom, here to seal a Demon." Yang Weite did not speak in riddles. He did not share Tyrael's preferences.

"Seal a Demon? Do you mean the demon tide? Are you God's Messenger?" The soldier was half-convinced, but that did not stop him from shouting.

"Everyone, come quickly! God's Messenger has arrived!"

"He says he's going to seal the Demons!"

Soon, wounded soldiers nearby gathered in twos and threes, all those still able to walk coming over.

Their faces were ashen. Their bodies were blackened, reeking, filthy, and ragged. Only their weapons had been wiped clean enough to look newer.

"God's Messenger, can you let me go home?" an old soldier pleaded.

"Let me go home too. I never want to come
