"What kind of world do you intend to build?" Sun Wukong asked.
"Our true scripture will establish a world of genuine equality for all beings. All who can cultivate will be truly equal."
"We will give everyone an opportunity."
Sun Wukong shook his head. "That sounds nice, but why do you eat people?"
The Toad Daoist laughed. "We could originally have managed without eating people, but the Heavenly Dao would not permit our true scripture to exist, so it caused the innate nature of demons to reemerge. It is like driving people mad and making them lose their reason, after which they eat people."
Sun Wukong immediately retorted, "If that is the case, then if the Heavenly Dao does not permit it, you cannot possibly succeed. What use would there be in my obtaining your true scripture?"
"Hahaha, the Heavenly Dao used to undermine us, but now we are no longer afraid, because we now have its permission."
"The Heavenly Dao's permission? Let me see." Sun Wukong could sense certain Heavenly Secrets as well. The farther Journey to the West progressed, the more apparent they became.
"This is an Extraterrestrial Divine Seed." The Toad Daoist smiled faintly and revealed the phantom of an emerald-green seed in his hand. "The Divine Seed can control the innate nature of demons, making them the same as human nature. They will not eat people, nor will they eat their own kind."
"It is in a demon's nature to eat people. To them, humans are like sheep to wolves. You say you can control that, but I do not believe you." Sun Wukong shook his head.
"Haha, wolves eat sheep, but dogs do not. With the Divine Seed in hand, wolves can be tamed into dogs."
Sun Wukong still did not believe him.
