Clearly, once the flames died out, those Boa Constrictors would surround and attack the apes in the Great Tree.
Boa Constrictors were far more patient than lions.
They could lie still for half a year without moving, not bothering to look for other food.
"You're clearly intelligent. Why can't you deal with a bunch of pythons?" Wenren Sheng sighed.
"There's nothing we can do. We had been struggling just to survive in the trees. We finally got fire and fought off several waves of wild beasts, only for these huge creatures to show up. The constant attacks have left us with no time to build up or develop."
Someone from the ape group in the trees spoke.
"Then you still aren't decisive enough. You should come down decisively and find more people to gather together," Wenren Sheng said.
"But once we come down, even more wild beasts will attack us."
"Fine. Everyone, climb the trees first. Give me the spears, then throw the torches on your backs at the pythons," Wenren Sheng ordered.
The six apes quickly climbed nearby tall trees and looked down at the Boa Constrictors from above.
Some of them seemed to be growing restless, wanting to change their target.
However, the others soon threw down their torches.
Feeling the heat, the Boa Constrictors retreated one after another.
Once he saw the Boa Constrictors scatter, Wenren Sheng began his attack.
He no longer targeted their eyes, but the pythons' cervical vertebrae.
One thrust of his spear failed to pierce their armor, deflected by the pythons' hard, smooth scales.
It was not that Wenren Sheng lacked strength or accuracy. The main problem was that stone spearheads were still inferior to metal.
"We're done for. Even the Great King isn't a match for them, so we definitely won't be.
