Ch. 1963Romance Line

Jiang Feng spent a month living with Winter Day, then discovered she was a romance assassin targeting Xia Wen and had been engineering a breakup between Xia Wen and her boyfriend. The Reincarnation Courtyard assigned Jiang Feng to repair their relationship or replace one of them and complete the Romance Line, leaving him panicking because he was still a cat.

  • Winter Day brought Jiang Feng to her apartment, kept him in a cage, and fed him heavily seasoned food.
  • After secretly following Winter Day, Jiang Feng discovered she attended the university where Xia Wen worked as a lecturer.
  • Winter Day confirmed Xia Wen as her target and began approaching Xia Wen and her wealthy boyfriend in disguise.
  • Over the next two months, Winter Day befriended Xia Wen, and Xia Wen broke up with her boyfriend after he objected to their closeness.
  • Winter Day urged Xia Wen not to reconcile first, and Jiang Feng realized she was a romance assassin.
  • The Reincarnation Courtyard gave Jiang Feng the mission to repair the couple's relationship or replace one of them, and he worried about carrying it out as a cat.

Ch. 1964Make a Trip

Jiang Feng thwarted Winter Day’s apparent attempt to kill Xia Wen and earned a Rank B Side Story, but he still had to repair Xia Wen’s relationship with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Wenren Sheng decided to visit the Reincarnation World himself to bring it to a swift end.

  • Winter Day returned to her apartment after completing her task, and Jiang Feng realized she was preparing a sniper rifle aimed toward Xia Wen’s university.
  • Jiang Feng tried to stop Winter Day from targeting Xia Wen, only to discover that the rifle was a toy she used to imagine killing her targets.
  • Winter Day revealed that the toy could fire lethal poison needles and said Xia Wen would soon pass below the building, but Jiang Feng’s intervention made her abandon the attempt.
  • Jiang Feng received a Rank B Side Story for saving Xia Wen from death, while Winter Day began packing to leave.
  • Jiang Feng considered asking the giant God Statue for help with his remaining task, and his prayer reached Little Illusion.
  • Wenren Sheng watched his family in the Reincarnation World and decided to go there himself to end it before Yang Weite could let the fish escape.

Ch. 1965God Statue

Wenren Sheng descended into the Demon Tide World and revealed godlike power, prompting its starving Farmers to worship him. As Emperor Lancelot prepared to invite him to court, Wenren Sheng confronted Big Rat and transformed him into a real rat, while noting that Principal Collector’s arrival was near.

  • Wenren Sheng made food grow across barren land, and the Farmers knelt and called him a god.
  • Emperor Lancelot dismissed the reports as tricks but agreed to invite Wenren Sheng to the Royal Capital as Court Agriculture Minister.
  • Big Rat retreated with his Rats into the mountains to avoid the threat posed by Lancelot’s Reincarnation skill.
  • The Farmers decided to build Wenren Sheng a statue and temple, while Weil wondered why they were so eager to worship a distant god.
  • Wenren Sheng appeared before Big Rat and turned him into a real rat, convincing him that he had encountered a true god.
  • Wenren Sheng looked toward the sky and thought that Principal Collector’s arrival was near.

Ch. 1966Collector

Wenren Sheng watched the Black Book, Collector, and the Seven-Colored Giant Tree fight over one another, while Emperor Lancelot witnessed the battle from the Imperial Palace. After the tree devoured two Demon Gods and Lancelot regained his resolve, a giant skeleton appeared in the Tania Area.

  • Collector descended as an enormous Black Book, and a Seven-Colored Giant Tree appeared and reached for it.
  • The Black Book summoned a Minotaur Demon God, but the tree bound and absorbed it.
  • The Black Book summoned a Goblin Demon God, which called forth a vast horde of Goblins that charged the tree.
  • Emperor Lancelot felt powerless at the scale of the Goblin horde, then renewed his fighting resolve by thinking of Reincarnation.
  • Lancelot sent people to investigate a trembling earth, and they reported that a giant skeleton had appeared in the Tania Area.

Ch. 1967Unable to Hold On

A giant skeleton awakened beneath Tania Area and attacked the goblins, while the Black Book selected Big Rat and turned him into the Rat King Demon God. The Rat King’s rats and the Great Tree’s spiders battled as the tree struggled to hold on.

  • The giant skeleton awakened, slaughtered the goblin army, and stuffed the Goblin Demon God into its abdomen as a replacement rib.
  • Big Rat admitted to Wenren Sheng that he wanted to win for himself, while people with divine blood gathered around Wenren Sheng and begged for protection.
  • The Black Book chose Big Rat, killing his human form and summoning the Rat King Demon God.
  • The Rat King Demon God sent fierce rats to gnaw at the Great Tree, which trapped them in webs spun by its spiders.
  • People in the Great Emperor’s palace feared the Great Tree could not hold on, while its struggle confirmed Yang Weite’s strength to Wenren Sheng.

Ch. 1968Blood and Bones

Yang Weite tried to harness the giant skeleton’s power to save the World Tree from the endless rats drawn from human fear. The farmer sent to awaken the skeleton struggled to persuade Wenren Sheng’s followers to offer their divine blood as the tree neared collapse.

  • Yang Weite explained that the World Tree’s strength depended on population growth and recognized the rats as projections of people’s fear, empowered by the Black Book.
  • Yang Weite ordered a farmer to find the giant skeleton in the Tania Area and awaken it with the blood of God's Bloodline so it could become fertilizer for the World Tree.
  • The farmer teleported to Wenren Sheng and urged the descendants of the gods to come with him and awaken their ancestor, but merchants refused to leave the god before them.
  • As rats gnawed through the World Tree’s bark, the farmer grabbed a protesting peddler and tried to drag him away while Wenren Sheng watched.
  • The peddler begged Wenren Sheng for help and promised to make building the god a statue a family rule passed down through his descendants.

Ch. 1969Giant Tree Seal

Wenren Sheng helped the World Tree defeat the rat horde by exploiting the rats’ overcrowding, while Yang Weite and the farmers sacrificed themselves to strengthen the tree. The Seven-Colored Giant Tree sealed the Black Book and vanished, but Wenren Sheng realized Yang Weite had overlooked Great Emperor Lancelot.

  • Wenren Sheng explained that overcrowding could make the rats stop reproducing, and Farmer relayed his insight to Yang Weite through Mind Link.
  • Yang Weite used the World Tree’s illusions to lure the rats into a crowded paradise, where conflict and declining reproduction eventually caused them all to die.
  • Great Rat Demon God charged the giant tree himself and was seized by its vines and absorbed into its branches.
  • The farmers celebrated the tree’s victory, while the peddler realized he had been right to avoid being drained for the giant skeleton.
  • The Black Book dodged the World Tree’s attacks, but Yang Weite and the farmers sacrificed themselves to empower the tree, which captured the book and vanished.
  • Wenren Sheng recognized that the seal seemed successful but that Yang Weite had acted too hastily and forgotten Great Emperor Lancelot.

Ch. 1970Anchor

Yang Weite used Great Emperor Lancelot and a World Tree sapling as an anchor to help seal the Black Book, binding Lancelot to an endless cycle of reincarnation. Lancelot then shaped the world’s economy to sustain population growth, leaving its farmers confined to an artificially maintained feudal society.

  • Yang Weite realized the World Tree could not suppress the Black Book alone, so he sent Lancelot a sapling to anchor the seal and draw power from the world.
  • Lancelot accepted the sapling, understanding that refusing the divine envoy’s task would cost him his player-system powers, and began reincarnating endlessly.
  • Lancelot concluded that agricultural societies produced higher birth rates than industrial ones, but that population growth required more food and greater resilience against disasters.
  • Lancelot divided the world into one Industrial Zone and many Agricultural Zones, forbidding migration between them so industrial production could support a growing farming population.
  • When the Minister of Agriculture reported that farmers lacked land, Lancelot ordered vertical farmland built in tiers, despite its cost, to preserve the feudal system and encourage families to have more children.

Ch. 1971Reproduction

Lancelot used the World Tree sapling and a divine upheaval to create new layers of farmland, and the population grew until the Empire sprawled across stacked rock strata. As the population reached hundreds of billions, the food system and direct rule became unmanageable, while people began losing the desire to have children.

  • Lancelot led the Industrial Zone in seven days of prayer, and the earth raised a twenty-meter rock layer without killing anyone.
  • Lancelot returned to the Agricultural Zone, where the Minister of Agriculture praised the miracle and a farmer’s son questioned why he could not live in the Industrial Zone.
  • Lancelot offered quotas for entry to the Industrial Zone to people who had many children, produced grain, and did good deeds.
  • Over the following centuries, new layers of farmland supported population growth from 1.8 billion to 3 billion and then expanded across the Demon Tide World.
  • Lancelot found that the Empire’s hundreds of billions of people overwhelmed its systems for food distribution and governance, while people in successive generations stopped wanting children.

Ch. 1972A Simple Problem

Emperor Lancelot investigated why young people in the Agricultural Zone avoided having children and learned that prosperity alone would not solve the problem. After rejecting a minister’s proposal to execute people without enough children, he was left without a workable solution.

  • Lancelot disguised himself as a traveling merchant and questioned an old farmer, who said his son Bro refused to marry or work because he saw no hope in repeating his ancestors’ hard lives.
  • The old farmer explained that young people pursued dangerous adventures in Miracle Caves, where they hoped to find godlike powers and valuable materials.
  • Lancelot reflected that people in the Industrial Zone also avoided having children, while restrictions on researching industrialized reproduction left only traditional methods available.
  • General Duke Lanse proposed executing people who failed to have children by specified ages, but Lancelot rejected the plan as brutal and likely to cause chaos.
  • An earl suggested improving living conditions to encourage births, but Lancelot recalled that even wealthy societies had low birth rates and meaningful subsidies were unaffordable.

Ch. 1973An Unsolvable Answer

Lancelot’s empire tried to solve its population decline by exiling people to isolated lands, but attempts to control those lands repeatedly ended in catastrophe. Wenren Sheng sealed the Demon Tide World, gained the Mystic Sealing Art, and returned home to find Little Illusion eager to visit a world with Immortal Peaches.

  • Hert advised Lancelot to create isolated lands and exile criminals and blasphemers there so they could reproduce without support from the Industrial Zone.
  • Five hundred years later, the people of an isolated land built a massive Fusion Weapon and destroyed their world, so the emperor rebuilt it without industrial resources.
  • An Earl secretly taught the isolated people herbal medicine, inspiring them to seek a way out; the emperor exiled him, and the people killed him before he was resurrected.
  • Lancelot spoke with the Earl about whether he regretted helping the people, then saw a pair of eyes and lost consciousness.
  • Wenren Sheng sealed the Demon Tide World, uncovered the Mystic Sealing Art, and raised his Mystery Points limit to 90,000.
  • Little Illusion searched the house for Immortal Peaches, and Wenren Sheng told her about a passage from the Reincarnation Courtyard to a similar world.

Ch. 1974Fixed Number

Wenren Sheng and Little Illusion entered the Journey to the West World, where Tathagata sensed an unknowable Fixed Number forming and sent Guanyin to investigate. Guanyin encountered the pair and learned that the Fixed Number required Wenren Sheng to obtain specific delicacies, spells, and a route to a larger world.

  • Wenren Sheng accompanied Little Illusion to Jiang Feng in a Reincarnation World, completed Jiang Feng’s quest, and warned him that leaving the Reincarnation Courtyard would erase his memories.
  • Wenren Sheng pulled a Journey to the West World Transfer Card from the Reincarnation Courtyard’s well and took Little Illusion to that world.
  • Tathagata sensed a Fixed Number taking shape in the Three Realms and ordered the sacred beings to act cautiously and enter seclusion.
  • Guanyin the Honored left Mount Lingshan for the Heavenly Court but encountered Wenren Sheng and Little Illusion along the way.
  • Guanyin the Honored perceived the Fixed Number: Wenren Sheng had to obtain three thousand servings of several delicacies, learn Buddha Kingdom in the Palm and the Sealing Art, and find a path to a larger world.

Ch. 1975Change

Wenren Sheng and Little Illusion discovered that a plague-stricken city’s immortals had left its people to suffer, then met a masked man in a Chaos Cave who explained the Three Realms’ binding Heavenly Secret. After receiving two cultivation arts from him, the man saw his chance to rule the Three Realms for ten thousand years.

  • Guanyin the Honored continued toward the Heavenly Court while Wenren Sheng and Little Illusion descended into a city devastated by plague.
  • Little Illusion questioned an old man about the absent immortals, and the old man revealed himself as a Toad Demon sent by his master.
  • The Toad Demon led Wenren Sheng and Little Illusion through a fissure of the Three Realms to meet a masked, armless and legless man in a wheelchair.
  • The man explained that the Heavenly Secret predetermined events in the Three Realms and punished sacred beings who defied it.
  • The man gave Wenren Sheng two cultivation arts, and the Heavenly Secret revealed that he had an opportunity to rule the Three Realms for ten thousand years.

Ch. 1976Opportunity

Wenren Sheng gave the wheelchair-bound man a Strange Seed that let him regain one hand and offered him a chance to challenge the Heavenly Court. The man used the seed to suppress the demonic nature of stone men and sent them to gather demons and monsters for his plans.

  • Little Illusion demanded food, so Wenren Sheng gave the wheelchair-bound man an azure-green Strange Seed before leaving with her.
  • The man explained to Great Toad that the seed could help him enter and leave the Three Realms and strengthen his power, but cultivating it would make him Wenren Sheng's pawn.
  • The man used the seed's power to regrow his right hand and summoned stone men to gather demons and monsters.
  • After Great Toad warned him about demons' uncontrolled brutality, the man used the seed to suppress the stone men's demonic nature.
  • The man sent the stone men into the Three Realms, while Great Toad reflected on how demonic nature had sabotaged their past rule of the Human Realm.

Ch. 1977Heavenly Court

Wenren Sheng and Little Illusion arrived at the Heavenly Court seeking to buy its specialties and request an audience with the Jade Emperor. After Zhang Tianshi reported their arrival, the Jade Emperor recognized Wenren Sheng as part of a fixed number and foresaw a great calamity for the Three Realms.

  • Wenren Sheng explained to Little Illusion that trading a Strange Seed for two books was a fair exchange because they contained the world's knowledge and truths.
  • Little Illusion asked the Four Heavenly Kings at the Southern Heavenly Gate how to pay for Peaches of Immortality, while Wenren Sheng requested an audience with the Jade Emperor.
  • Northern Vaiśravaṇa sent for Zhang Tianshi, who explained the lengthy audience procedure and then hurried off to report Wenren Sheng's arrival.
  • The Jade Emperor told Zhang Tianshi that Wenren Sheng's arrival was a fixed number and that a great calamity had come upon the Three Realms.

Ch. 1978Sage-Inviting Assembly

The Jade Emperor and the Heavenly Court debated how to fulfill the Great Saint’s demand for three thousand servings of rare delicacies and golden pills. After Supreme Old Lord identified Sun Wukong as the one destined to find an exit to another great world, Guanyin the Honored helped the Jade Emperor see how they could satisfy the demand without taking every ingredient literally, and he ordered a Sage-Inviting Assembly.

  • Queen Mother of the West questioned how the Heavenly Court could gather three thousand portions of Dragon Liver and Phoenix Marrow, along with the other demanded offerings.
  • Supreme Old Lord explained that producing three thousand gourds of Nine Revolutions Golden Pills would take over a thousand years, while the Jade Emperor insisted the Fixed Number could not be changed.
  • The Jade Emperor proposed gathering the Peaches of Immortality first, and Supreme Old Lord revealed that Sun Wukong was destined to search for an exit to another great world and inform the Extraterrestrial Great Saint.
  • Guanyin the Honored warned that Sun Wukong was occupied with obtaining the scriptures, but the Jade Emperor offered to send more Heavenly Gods to assist him.
  • Guanyin the Honored hinted that the Heavenly Secret could be fulfilled flexibly, and the Jade Emperor decided they could use lesser dragons to make up the Dragon Liver and ordered a Sage-Inviting Assembly.

Ch. 1979Reinforcing the House

Wenren Sheng and Little Illusion attended a feast in the Heavenly Court, where Wenren Sheng offered the Jade Emperor two Strange Seeds and explained that he was searching for the Main World. When black energy threatened the palace, Little Illusion dispersed it and reinforced the foundation of the Three Realms.

  • Little Illusion feasted on the Heavenly Court’s food while Wenren Sheng kept her from drinking.
  • Wenren Sheng presented the Jade Emperor with two Strange Seeds, and the Jade Emperor gave him three treasures for Little Illusion.
  • Wenren Sheng told the gathered immortals he sought the Main World, and Guanyin the Honored warned that finding it might not free him from constraints.
  • Black energy surged toward the heavenly palace, but Little Illusion dispelled it with streams of clear spiritual energy.
  • Supreme Old Lord explained that Little Illusion had strengthened the world's foundation, and the Jade Emperor recognized that the visitors could reinforce the Three Realms from outside.

Ch. 1980Heavenly Court Complaints

After a month of revelry in the Heavenly Court, Wenren Sheng and Little Illusion returned to the Three Realms, where a man in a wheelchair exploited the gods’ dissatisfaction and plotted to recruit Sun Wukong. Toad Daoist approached Sun Wukong and Tang Seng as they argued about the monkey killing six people.

  • Little Illusion’s contests ended with Erlang Zhenjun, the Roc Golden-Winged Eagle, the Heavenly Dragon Horse, and the East Sea Dragon King taking first place in their events, before Wenren Sheng and Little Illusion left the Heavenly Court.
  • After their departure, heavenly soldiers and a heavenly general voiced their grievances, and black qi from the man in the wheelchair’s divine seed entered their primordial spirits.
  • The man in the wheelchair told Toad Daoist that six Demon Realm Great Sages had gathered and ordered him to make Sun Wukong rebel and join him.
  • Sun Wukong argued with Tang Seng over killing six people, and Toad Daoist appeared and agreed with the holy monk.

Ch. 1981Wukong Seeks the Scriptures

The Toad Daoist challenged Tang Seng’s different treatment of human and demon lives, exposing contradictions in his Buddhist principles and prompting Sun Wukong to question his master’s motives and his own prejudices. The Toad Daoist then invited Sun Wukong to seek scriptures based on sharing incense offerings and public oversight, and Sun Wukong asked to hear more.

  • The Toad Daoist asked Tang Seng why he condemned Sun Wukong for killing bandits but did not rebuke him for killing demons, and Tang Seng struggled to explain the difference.
  • The Toad Daoist accused Tang Seng of protecting humans out of self-interest, and Sun Wukong laughed as he realized he had mistaken fear for compassion.
  • The Toad Daoist argued that Sun Wukong and Tang Seng were also demons by birth and condemned Buddhism for allowing demons to be slaughtered while claiming all beings were equal.
  • The Toad Daoist offered Sun Wukong the Saint of Chaos’s scriptures, which would share incense offerings with the public and subject income and spending to public review.
  • Sun Wukong asked the Toad Daoist to explain the scriptures, while Tang Seng continued to defend Tathagata Buddha’s promise.

Ch. 1982Peach Blossom Garden

Toad Daoist brought Sun Wukong to Peach Blossom Garden to show him a thriving community built through the Chaos True Scripture, hoping to win him over. Wukong questioned the order imposed by Heaven and the Jade Emperor, but the chapter ended before he decided whether to join Toad Daoist.

  • Sun Wukong struck Toad Daoist, then explained that he protected Tang Seng for the promised righteous fruition rather than belief in the Tripitaka True Scripture.
  • Toad Daoist persuaded Sun Wukong to follow him and re-formed his body after his primordial spirit had flown out.
  • Toad Daoist showed Sun Wukong Peach Blossom Garden, where humans and demons lived together among prosperous services and homes.
  • Sun Wukong used his Fire Eyes and Golden Pupils, found the community was real, and asked about the Chaos True Scripture.
  • Toad Daoist explained that its followers relied on themselves and gathered strength through incense offerings to oppose those who threatened them.
  • Toad Daoist condemned the gods and immortals for exploiting common folk and reminded Sun Wukong that Heaven had treated him as a mere Pi Ma Wen.
