Sun Hang did not go after the man... Contrary to what the other person had said, he was not "not alert enough"; rather, Sun Hang had not sensed any threat from him at all.
This ability to turn one's physical body into a phantom looked miraculous, but Sun Hang could tell that it came with many restrictions and was not particularly useful in combat... Most importantly, although the man's body had become intangible, hunters in that state apparently could not, like spectral anomalies, become immune to every kind of physical attack.
Otherwise, after Sun Hang had exposed his true form, he would not have been so eager to retreat to his room.
The greatest use of this ability was probably that it prevented one from being trapped by terrain, allowing them to move back and forth through obstacles... But just how broadly applicable it was remained unknown.
Sun Hang was somewhat curious whether, in his phantom state, the man could pass through a high-voltage barbed-wire fence without a scratch.

Sun Hang got up, washed up, and went to the hotel lobby for the breakfast buffet. He noticed that many people there for breakfast, like himself, wore oversized cloaks. Some could not even be bothered to disguise themselves, openly exposing the mutated parts of their bodies... Yet when faced with these "extremely dangerous" infected individuals, the chefs working the buffet remained calm as they prepared food behind the counters, not sparing them a second glance.
It seemed that, at the very least, the Anglo-Saxon hunter had been telling the truth when he said that this hotel was specifically meant to serve hunters.
