"Hard to say..." Sun Hang shook his head. "Can you let me in?"
"What are you going to do?" Yang Qi asked.
"Try and see if I can communicate with her."
"How do you plan to try?" Yang Qi asked again.
"How else? I'll just go up and talk to her, see if she reacts." Sun Hang said. "Besides, a large part of the negative emotions that turned her into an Anomaly was resentment toward me. She probably won't ignore me, right?"
"You should be worried about whether she'll suddenly go berserk when she sees you," Yang Qi said.
"Even if she goes berserk, you should have ways to calm her down, right?" Sun Hang glanced at several massive aluminum alloy cases in the corner. They were packed with all sorts of ingenious tools for dealing with Anomalies, including but not limited to 12.7mm lead-core jacketed tranquilizer rounds... even though most Anomalies had considerable resistance to such tranquilizers.
"The highest-level security measure here is you," Yang Qi said. "I advise you to take it easy."
"It's not a big problem... You didn't lock this thing up in the Class-A containment area, which means you don't consider it much of a threat, right?"
"You really want to go in?" Yang Qi confirmed once more.
"What else? Were you planning to blast it with noise all night?" Sun Hang asked in return.
"Fine... If anything unexpected happens, try to keep it alive. You can do that, right?" Yang Qi asked.
"If I wanted to kill it, I would've done it back at the resettlement camp."
Yang Qi led Sun Hang around to one side of the laboratory. There was a concealed door there. Beyond it lay a dark, narrow corridor, and at the end of that corridor stood a 340-millimeter-thick alloy
