Seeing Sun Hang's vehicle approach, two soldiers hurried over—out of the corner of his eye, Sun Hang noticed that, aside from the two of them, the other soldiers had all subconsciously placed their right-hand fingers against their trigger guards.
Sun Hang could not help curling his lip... Had the situation really become this tense?
"Please show your identification!" The two approaching soldiers raised their hands to stop the vehicle.
Sun Hang was just about to reach for his Hunter License when a familiar figure hurried down the broad steps at the entrance to the institute. It was Song Yarong, dressed in a filthy white lab coat. She wore a monocular eyepatch, and the silver-white high ponytail at the back of her head swung wildly with every movement.
"Why are you two only getting here now? Everyone's been waiting for you!" Song Yarong shouted.
"Handled something on the way." Sun Hang glanced at the bloodstains on his clothes and replied calmly.
"Hurry!" Song Yarong said. "Leave the car with them. Get up here with me, now. There's no time!"
"What is it? Why the rush?" Sun Hang got out of the car and casually tossed the keys to the two soldiers. "Is Tianfu City about to blow up?"
"Just assume Tianfu City is about to blow up." Song Yarong spun around in a hurry and led the two of them running toward the entrance.
"Huh? What the hell is going on?" Sun Hang pressed.
"You'll understand in a moment!" Song Yarong said.
Tianfu City Anomaly Research Institute, Combat Conference Room One.
The last time Sun Hang had seen so many people gathered together was during the Longyanlei invasion, yet the atmosphere in the conference room now was far more grim than it had been then.
"I'm not late, am I?"
