"To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure myself." Sun Hang shook his head.
"You mean... intuition?" Candle Dragon caught on. "Your intuition told you that Three Monkeys might appear during this operation, and that he'd be extremely dangerous... right?"
"Something like that." Sun Hang sighed and feigned hesitation. "It's hard for me to describe that feeling..."
"Understood. I'll be extra careful." Candle Dragon nodded.
The group exchanged glances, then jumped out of the cabin together.
Unlike the forward observation posts that consisted of little more than a few tents, Observation Post Seven had been converted from a semi-permanent military fortification. It not only had a waterproof concrete foundation, but was also equipped with a fully functional air-raid tunnel and a retractable anti-aircraft gun emplacement.
More than thirty special operations agents had originally been stationed at Observation Post Seven. After Observation Posts Zero through Six had all lost contact, its personnel had been increased to nearly a hundred.
"To be honest, this terrain is pretty bad." Candle Dragon looked up at the nearby slope. "If the rainfall keeps increasing, a mudslide could bury Observation Post Seven at any moment. If I were the commander, I'd order everyone to abandon this place and retreat to Observation Post Eight in the open area."
