After the massive airbag on the screen bounced across the ground several times and landed safely, the entire launch site was drowned in cheers. One male engineer directly grabbed a petite female researcher beside him and kissed her deeply. Two technicians who looked like they had Siberian Federation heritage somehow produced a small flask and began drinking from it back and forth. Some even stripped off their cold-weather gear in the subzero temperatures, running shirtless around the launch site.
The atmosphere the project team had suppressed for days was instantly ignited by the successful test. Quite a few people were crying with joy.
Yet amid the fervent celebration, one person stared uneasily at the monitor before him, his fist clenched inside his pocket.
That person was Yao Yu, the direct supervisor of the hunter Wen Ya.
After the P.F.D.A. test craft carrying Wen Ya ignited and launched, Yao Yu noticed that Sun Hang, who had been standing beside the launch pad, had disappeared. He searched everywhere for Sun Hang, but could not find even a trace of him... until the drone feed showed Sun Hang reaching the destination even before the P.F.D.A.
