"But I wouldn't advise you to go to Egypt at a time like this." Pei Zongjun's holographic projection let out a long sigh. "Consider it a personal request. I hope you can stay in Xiazhou for the foreseeable future."
"Why?" Sun Hang asked in confusion.
"You know what happened in Baikal City, right?"
"Death Aurora?"
"That's right... Sphinx's prophecy mentioned that the Xiazhou Federation would encounter a tremendous upheaval sometime in the future." Pei Zongjun's holographic projection walked over to his own coffin and lowered his head, staring through the transparent lid at his own corpse. "I saw a person walking slowly along a steel wire high in the air... One misstep, and beneath them was a bottomless abyss."
"You saw that in the prophecy too?" Sun Hang asked.
Pei Zongjun's holographic projection nodded silently.
"And the yellow sand that appeared in the prophecy—what did that mean?" Sun Hang asked again.
"It meant that I... couldn't stop you." The Mainframe's simulated holographic projection was incredibly lifelike. Sun Hang could even see a deep trace of helplessness and sorrow in "Pei Zongjun's" eyes.
"How can I be sure your real purpose isn't to get me to help you retrieve the other half of Sphinx's brain?" Sun Hang walked around to the other side of the transparent coffin, crouched down, and carefully examined the corpse preserved inside. "After all, this isn't the first time you've 'schemed' against me."
The corpse had undergone highly specialized preservation treatment. There were no signs of decay, not even livor mortis. It looked as though the person inside was still alive, merely asleep.
"You can read my thoughts. I won't hide anything from you," the Mainframe said. "You could even devour me."
To be fair, after learning what this half of Sphinx's brain could do, Sun Hang
