"I was rather curious: was this black liquid an independent Anomaly, or part of Baikal's Remains?" Wang Xiyi asked Yan Yu'an.
Yan Yu'an replied, "Based on the information currently available, this black liquid only appears within Anomaly buildings that mimic cafés, and without exception, it is produced by coffee machines... So, it can be considered one of the 'subordinate Anomalies' differentiated from Baikal's Remains. All of its information falls under Baikal's Remains' entry, and it has not yet been assigned a separate designation or file."
"Does this thing have a codename?"
"Yes. We all call it 'Black Latte.'" Yan Yu'an paused and took another step closer to Sun Hang. "It's starting to spread over here. We should leave."
This time, Sun Hang followed Yan Yu'an's advice, and the three of them exited the café.
Zhong Ling and the anomalous corpses under her control were keeping watch on the street. When she saw the three emerge, she said softly, "While you were inside, our location shifted sixty-five meters southwest, and the entire street rotated seventeen degrees counterclockwise. In addition, four buildings sank underground, while seven buildings emerged. I marked all the before-and-after changes to the street in the video files."
"Where do we go next?" Wang Xiyi asked.
"Let's check out the terrain nearby first, so we don't accidentally walk into a dead end," Sun Hang said.
Although both he and Wang Xiyi possessed the ability to blast straight through a dead end, saving some effort during the early stages of the operation was definitely preferable.
After learning that Baikal's Remains contained quite a few subordinate Anomalies like Black Latte, Sun Hang realized that this Anomaly city was far more complicated than he had imagined.
This was most likely not a simple Geng-type Anomaly, but a composite Anomaly made up of
