The two left the department store and found a small inn nearby. Without knowing what was inside the box, Sun Hang decided to find somewhere as private as possible before opening it.
It was not that he had not considered using mind reading on Copper Finger. Weak as Copper Finger was, he was still an Anomaly Hunter. He would be able to sense Sun Hang using mind reading on him. If they fell out, it would be difficult for Sun Hang to transfer this assignment from him... not to mention the possibility that even Copper Finger did not know what was inside the box.
"Hello, I'd like an hourly room," Sun Hang said to the inn's receptionist.
Candle Dragon had already booked a hotel in Dragon City before they arrived, but that hotel was simply too far from where they currently were. Walking there would take at least two hours.
As for driving... it would take about two hours as well.
"An hourly room?" The young woman at the front desk looked at Sun Hang, then at Xue Yue, who was following closely behind him with a slightly nervous expression. "Just one room? Would you like twin beds or one large bed?"
"Either is fine," Sun Hang said.
"Either is fine?" The receptionist's breath caught. "Are you sure?"
"I'm sure." Sun Hang was somewhat puzzled. Why was booking a room taking so long? Did renting a room to rest in Dragon City require some other procedure?
He resisted the urge to read the receptionist's mind and continued, "Any room will do. We're in a hurry."
"Oh, I see... Then please take a look, sir. These are the rooms still available at our inn." The receptionist pulled a booklet from beneath the counter and handed it to Sun Hang. While he
