"Are you the one infected by the Gluttonous Meme?" Iron Wall, who had remained behind Professor Li the entire time, asked in a muffled voice.
"Yeah." Sun Hang nodded.
Iron Wall stared at Sun Hang for several seconds. In the end, he said nothing and simply sat down cross-legged on the floor.
Even seated, he was still a full head taller than Sun Hang.
"Little Shen tends to be wary around strangers. Please don't take it personally." Professor Li smiled as he handed cups of tea to Sun Hang and Yang Qi.
Little Shen? Sun Hang froze for a moment. Honestly, there was no way he could connect a nearly four-meter-tall giant with a name like "Little Shen."
"Professor Li." Yang Qi accepted the teacup and asked somewhat flatteredly, "May I ask why you called us here?"
"It's nothing important. I merely wanted to take this opportunity to have a look at this young man who has interested both Old Pei and me." Professor Li had none of the aloofness one might expect from someone in a high position. Instead, he was remarkably approachable, like the kindly old man next door.
"Old Pei? Who's that?" Sun Hang asked instinctively after taking a sip of tea.
"Pei..." Yang Qi hesitated for a moment, then her pupils constricted. She lowered her voice and said to Sun Hang, "You should call him Elder Pei... He's the Tower Master of Tianshu Tower! The foremost authority in the Federation—no, in all of humanity—in the field of anomalous object research. There's no one else even close!"
"Don't put it that way." Professor Li waved his hand with a chuckle. "If Old Pei heard you, he'd be unhappy again."
"Someone praises him and he gets unhappy? That Tower Master sure has a strange temper," Sun Hang said.
