Surtur Attacks

Surtur looked Wanda up and down.

In truth, he did not care about Wanda's reasons at all.

All he cared about was the Eternal Fire and Asgard's destruction.

He held out his hand toward Wanda. "As long as you are willing to give me the Eternal Fire, I promise you that Asgard will be reduced to nothing!"

"So, does that mean we have a contract?" Wanda asked.

The Three Sanctums on Earth were a defensive system meant to stop Dormammu and Sithorn from invading the Earth dimension.

They were not merely a defensive system meant to prevent them from invading Earth.

There was a fundamental difference between the two.

This meant that Sithorn could only grant Wanda a portion of Chaos Magic's power.

Though that was enough for her to contend with Surtur's current strength.

Once Surtur obtained the Eternal Fire, his power would increase by hundreds of times!

By then, Wanda's Chaos Magic would likely be unable to stop Surtur.

Most importantly...

Dormammu and Sithorn's plan was not simply to hand the Eternal Fire over to Surtur.

They also needed Wanda to use the power of Chaos Magic to destroy the Three Sanctums on Earth.

In other words, they needed to ensure that Surtur would not kill Wanda after obtaining the Eternal Fire.

After all, a fire giant like him would not possess any gratitude.

For that reason, Sithorn needed a contract to restrain Surtur.

To ensure that his power would not harm Wanda.

"I agree."
