Over the next two days, more and more Knight Orders gathered at Fire Ant Swamp.
Black Court Baron Curis Zi Cao of Black Court Mountain arrived, and Russell joined his father in welcoming this relative. Russell's older sister, Rowena, was Baron Curis's daughter-in-law, making the two barons in-laws through their children.
"Rowena is doing well. She'll give birth in another two or three months, haha." Baron Curis was in high spirits, as he would soon have a grandson.
Baron Roman, however, felt somewhat bitter. His daughter was far away in another land, enduring the hardships of pregnancy and childbirth, while her parents could not be by her side.
So he privately told Russell, "Once this war is over, you and Roland must visit Rowena at Black Court Mountain."
"Don't worry, Father. I will."
"Sigh, Rowena was always so headstrong when she was little. I wonder how she's living at Black Court Mountain. Fortunately, Cooper doesn't seem like a crude man... I just hope the two of them live harmoniously together." Baron Roman sighed.
Russell said, "When I visit Black Court Mountain later, I'll quietly observe how my sister and brother-in-law are living. In the future, I'll stand up for my sister too."
Baron Roman said approvingly, "Very good, Russell. That's how siblings ought to be."
Soon after the Knight Order from Black Court Mountain arrived, another of Russell's relatives came.
It was Baron Davis Golden Mushroom of the Golden Plains, arriving with his Knight Order. Baron Davis did not ride a horse when he arrived. Instead, he rode a brownish-yellow Wyvern, descending handsomely from the sky.
Baron Kunbif was still waiting enthusiastically at the gates.
Standing among the nobles welcoming them, Russell saw the corner of Baron Roman's mouth twitch disdainfully.
He even squeezed out two words through his teeth.
