"Beast!"
Snow Giant Da tore open the Shadowflame Dragon's wing. Count Merlin's eyes nearly split with fury as he drove the Manganese Steel Dragon into a dive, charging at Snow Giant Da, who was preparing to rip apart another wing.
The howling wind scattered the clouds and mist.
Count Merlin quickly saw Snow Giant Da's face clearly.
It was an utterly hideous, ice-sculpted face: a bald head, a flattened nose, broken fangs, pockmarks, hedgehog-like nose hairs, and a pair of chilling white eyes.
"Mercedes, now!" Count Merlin roared.
The Manganese Steel Dragon swept past Snow Giant Da's face at close range, turned its head, and blasted Dragon Breath straight at those white eyes.
Boom!
Flames shot forth and sank deep into Snow Giant Da's white eyeballs.
The burning agony drove Snow Giant Da wild. His hands clawed frantically at the Manganese Steel Dragon, his savage palms as large as hills, blocking every route of escape.
Taking advantage of that brief respite, the Shadowflame Dragon twisted upright and slammed hard into Snow Giant Da's waist, knocking him down and saving the Manganese Steel Dragon and Count Merlin. Then, heedless of its broken wings, it drove all four limbs deep into Snow Giant Da's body.
Its jaws opened, once again tearing at Snow Giant Da's neck.
But at that moment, Snow Giant Da suddenly reached back. His pickaxe-sharp claws plunged directly into the Shadowflame Dragon's abdomen.
The magma scales there shattered like potato chips, and then Snow Giant Da's entire hand sank into its belly.
The Shadowflame Dragon let out a miserable howl and released its bite. Every magma scale across its body trembled.
This was an attack that struck at the soul.
"Not good!" Count Merlin, having escaped Snow Giant Da's claws, saw the scene and his eyes widened at once.
