Whoosh!
Black Oil Dragon Rosai flapped his wings and left the Warm Enclave.
At the instant they crossed the border, Russell seemed to sense something through their mental connection formed by the contract.
"This feeling... it's like suddenly losing warmth. Even my Dragon Breath has drawn in a little. Rosai, you feel it too, don't you?" Russell asked.
Rosai replied in his mind, "Yes, Father. Once I leave my Warm Enclave, my strength returns to normal. Only when fighting within my Warm Enclave can I continuously draw power from the earth to strengthen myself."
A wyvern's strength required no cultivation, nor did its body need to grow, but its wisdom and emotions still needed tempering.
Yet some things were innate knowledge.
"So that's how it is." Russell looked back at the Warm Enclave and understood that this was Black Oil Dragon Rosai's home ground—and naturally, his own as well. Fighting on home ground would boost his strength by at least thirty percent, and the power would be inexhaustible.
Of course.
It was only thirty percent. To Russell, that was merely a quantitative change, not enough to produce a qualitative one. Especially since his swordsmanship was sufficient to make up for that thirty percent reduction. No matter where he went, he remained an invincible Wyvern Knight.
"Besides, Rosai is really huge!"
Russell had come into close contact with quite a few wyverns. He had even operated on Blue Crystal Dragon Medicarren, so he understood wyvern sizes very well.
Rosai was at least twice as long as Medicarren.
Medicarren was only eight meters long, which meant Rosai stood at the very top among wyverns—fifteen meters long.
According to official wyvern records, they ranged from five to fifteen meters in length, with wingspans of ten to forty-five meters, weights ranging from one to
