"Sir, we still need to keep expanding Tobacco Cultivation. The Cigar Factory is running out of tobacco." Old Hans had returned to Wuyou Snake Manor to report on his work.
Ever since most of his authority as the manor's Court Chief had been stripped away by Chief Scribe Charles, he had devoted himself wholeheartedly to the affairs of the Cigar Factory.
Looking at the Cigar Factory's endless orders, Old Hans no longer felt any sense of loss.
Now, he only wanted to help Russell manage this cash cow properly. He no longer expected to achieve anything greater in his lifetime, only hoping that Russell would remember his hard work and give his grandchildren a chance to rise in the future.
His youngest grandson was already attending classes at the Knight Academy in town alongside a group of children from the manor who were of the right age. Russell paid all their tuition fees.
This was the first batch of knight candidates Russell was cultivating.
However, Wuyou Snake Manor had limited resources, so they had been sent to the Knight Academy in town for training. The best would be selected, and eventually a group of Armored Knights would be trained to return to the manor—or even to Blackfire Land—to serve in the Knight Order.
Old Hans had placed all his hopes on his grandson.
"The scale of Tobacco Cultivation can't be expanded any further. More tobacco means less grain, and that won't help population growth." Russell rejected Old Hans's proposal. "But we can buy a batch of tobacco from Sancha River Mouth."
Russell was not a rigid man.
Although Rain Dragon Cigar had a lofty reputation and its production standards had been set high, it did not absolutely have to be made with local tobacco from Guangguang River Valley.
