Building a Glass Kiln Factory was something Russell had long wanted to do but had never had the opportunity to pursue.
After all, Russell had earned his scholar title through Reading Glasses. Reading Glasses had now become widespread among elderly nobles, but ordinary people still could not afford them, especially elderly serfs.
So Russell planned to manufacture cheap glass, then turn it into cheap Reading Glasses for sale.
Of course, that was merely a convenient side venture.
Once he could produce glass himself, Russell would be able to make other glass products as well. Telescopes and microscopes could both be developed.
"Then I'll have craftsmen build an Astronomical Telescope for me. I want to take a good look at which star system the Dragon Sleep Continent is in!" Russell thought as he inspected the Glass Kiln Factory, imagining the future.
The scholars of the Dragon Sleep Continent were all troubled by magic, or bound by the snowfields. They had always kept their "heads lowered," studying how to repel the encroachment of ice and snow. Few ever raised their heads to look upon the vast starry sky.
Only Russell desperately wanted to know where the Dragon Sleep Continent was located.
Was it still within the Milky Way?
And he also wanted to know where the Snow Demons truly came from when they claimed to have crossed through the Gate of Another World. Was it as he had guessed—that those Frost Trolls had fallen from the sky like meteors? If so, where had those meteors come from?
Was the Frost Trolls' planet in the same stellar system as the Dragon Sleep Continent, or had they flown here at light speed from a neighboring star system?
There were too many unsolved mysteries.
Perhaps an Astronomical Telescope could reveal a small part of the
