The Shadowflame Dragon's first scale tower was built northeast of the Scorching Torrent Kingdom, in a Warm Enclave known as Cat's Eye Emerald.
Viewed from the sky, Cat's Eye Emerald truly resembled its name, like an enormous emerald-green cat's eye.
This was the territory of Baron Wildcat—Boske Bagrass.
By the time they arrived, Baron Boske had already led the nobles of his territory to wait in the castle for Russell's party.
"Greetings, Your Majesty." The nobles all bowed.
Then they bowed to the two dragons. "Greetings, His Highness Scorching. Greetings, His Highness Shadowflame!"
The Scorching Dragon and the Shadowflame Dragon offered no response. Dragons had always disdained the formalities of humans.
"Rise, Boske." King Ares rose from the throne atop the Scorching Dragon's head, paced through the air to the ground, and helped his vassal up.
Russell also leaped down from Black Oil Dragon Rosai's back.
Baron Boske immediately asked, "Your Majesty, is this Lord Russell, Baron Thunderflame, the rising star of the Shadowflame Grand Duchy?"
King Ares nodded calmly. "Allow me to introduce him. This young man is Russell, the newly promoted Wyvern Knight and Dragon Domain Lord of the Shadowflame Grand Duchy. This time, he will accompany the Shadowflame Dragon in flight and preside over the activation ceremony of the Shadowflame Scale Tower."
"Greetings, Lord Russell. Welcome to the Scorching Torrent Kingdom!" Baron Boske greeted him warmly.
Because of its location, all trade between the Scorching Torrent Kingdom and the Shadowflame Grand Duchy had to pass through Cat's Eye Emerald. Baron Wildcat Boske could reap the rewards simply by collecting taxes, so naturally, he was immensely enthusiastic.
"Greetings, Lord Boske." Russell replied with a smile.
At this point, King Ares added, "Russell, let me introduce another young talent from the kingdom: Sharman. He is a year older than
