"Wonderful, Nico!" Russell was in quite a good mood when he saw Nico return home with a new Spirit Worm.
Although he now had three sprites, who would ever complain about having too many sprites?
Besides, he did not have that many sprites.
As a fellow count, the Monochoria Family had one Great Elf, more than a dozen sprites, and countless Spirit Worms. Compared to them, Russell's sprites were hardly worth mentioning. And he still intended to found a nation in the future, so he needed sprites even more.
Thus, the birth of every Spirit Worm was an important gain to him.
"Eegu!" Nico proudly danced in Russell's hand. There was no rhythm to it at all; she was simply wriggling about wildly.
But magical creatures like sprites looked good no matter what they did.
"Katie, thank you for your efforts looking after her during this time. Now that the Spirit Worm has been born, you can take two days off and look around." Russell looked at Katie, who had escorted Nico back. "By the way, how is your training with Jerry going?"
"We still need a little more time. We should be able to achieve Perfect Synchronization within half a year," Katie replied.
Russell nodded. This progress was not slow among Phantom Beast Knights, but considering Katie's exceptional talent for cultivation, it could only be considered average.
The problem still lay with Red-eyed Rat King Jerry. A Phantom Beast Knight's training required both sides to complement one another, but Jerry was not particularly intelligent, which held Katie back—though it was not really holding her back. Not every Phantom Beast possessed the intelligence of Polly, Hape, or Ouroboros.
"Train hard and strive to unlock your second transformation soon," Russell encouraged her.
Katie acknowledged him, then took her leave. Russell pricked
