Russell contracted Sembra and awakened Polly’s ancestral power, becoming a Phantom Dragon Knight and driving back Frost Da and Snow Da. He returned to the Shadowflame Grand Duchy, accepted a hereditary marquis title, and left his alliance with the Shadowflame Dragon open for the future.

• Russell approved observatories across the Grand Duchy, investigated the earthquakes, and contracted a thorn Spirit Worm that became the sprite Jera.
• Russell agreed to accompany Mel to arrange his engagement to Annie, and on the journey he found and contracted the Pseudo-Nightmare Beast Dragon Sembra.
• King Ares confirmed that Missing Number One was the Frost Trolls’ world, which Russell and Ares named Frost Star, while Russell refused to join the Three-Dragon Sacrifice Method.
• Frost Da and Snow Da attacked the convoy, but Russell and Polly emerged from the Dark Dreamscape in powerful new forms and drove the two enemies away.

• The Shadowflame Dragon dissolved the Elder Council and declared Russell the new Grand Duke, prompting Russell to accept the succession after Count Merlin warned him of the upheaval his refusal could cause.
• Russell returned to Fluorite Castle, told his family he would soon be crowned, and arranged for Princess Anxia and Kunlaya to leave the Inner Castle after the coronation.
• On July 8, Princess Anxia crowned Russell, who received the realm’s acclamation and then accepted the Shadowflame Dragon’s origin dragonflame for Harpe.
• Russell established a cabinet, reorganized the Grand Duchy into provinces, and began building railways and other infrastructure while Harpe set out to gain experience.

• Lord Welch exiled Osklo and Augustus, named Auden the future Gravel Baron, and watched as Dai Wen secured the vassal lords’ loyalty.
• Russell ordered Thunder Sound Machines and Demon Seeking Towers built across the kingdom, then used a tower’s signals to confirm that Snow Trolls were gathering in the snowfields.
• Russell captured the newborn Zircon Dragon Zack, while King Ares visited and later faced Frost Da’s ambush as Snow Trolls attacked Scorching Volcano.
• Russell and Polly killed the Snow Trolls at Scorching Volcano, but the Molten Fire Dragon fell and Grand Duke Fritz died after hearing the news.
