Deep within the Great Wu Royal Palace, atop the altar.
Thunderclouds filled the heavens, lightning writhed wildly, turning the night sky as bright as day. Gale-force winds howled, and torrential rain poured down, as though even heaven and earth were mourning the tragedy about to unfold.
At the top of the altar, on a cold stone bed, eight-year-old Wu Yao lay with her eyes tightly shut, her little face pale as if trapped in an endless nightmare. Beside her, Crown Prince Wu Huang lay down and held her icy little hand, whispering hollow comforts.
Beneath the stone bed, countless strange source runes wriggled and flickered like living creatures, emanating heart-palpitating energy fluctuations. King Wu stood below the altar, his palms raised slightly as vast source energy drew upon the power of heaven and earth, preparing to forcibly strip the Sacred Dragon Destiny from Wu Yao's body and infuse it into Wu Huang!
"Begin." King Wu's voice was cold, devoid of even a trace of emotion.
The source runes pierced Wu Yao's small body like countless sharp needles. The intense pain made her frown tightly and twitch faintly even in her unconscious state.
A blood-red thread containing immense destiny was forcibly drawn from her body, flowing toward Wu Huang!
"Your Majesty, what are you doing?!"
Just as King Wu focused on controlling the altar, a shrill voice suddenly rang out behind him.
King Wu frowned and swept his gaze over, only to see the Queen rushing toward him, her face pale.
"Queen, this has nothing to do with you. Go rest." King Wu withdrew his gaze after one look and spoke indifferently.
"Stop! Let Yao'er go!" The Queen cried out miserably, throwing herself at King Wu without regard for anything else, trying to stop them from robbing her daughter.
"Get lost!"
