Just as Ruan Mei was preparing to act, Sushang stopped him.
"Leave professional work to professionals. I'll handle these Abundance Vermin!"
Sushang glared with her rather vacant-looking eyes at the Abundance Vermin surrounding them.
Dan Heng hesitated for a moment, took a deep breath, and ran over to them. Sushang and Ruan Mei were startled by the sudden appearance of a man, but one more person meant one more fighting force. Without a word, they began coordinating with one another in battle.
Dan Heng and Sushang darted through the horde of Abundance Vermin. Dan Heng wielded the Cloud-Piercer Spear, while Sushang swung her family heirloom, the Xuanyuan Sword, at the monsters. Dan Heng was doing fine; he was very skilled in combat.
But Sushang was below average in both academics and martial arts. She kept crying out in pain as the monsters struck her, leaving Dan Heng no choice but to protect her and attack the Abundance Vermin surrounding her.
"White Flowers Bloom!"
Sushang's aching body was suddenly healed by pale green Power of Abundance. The girl immediately surged forward once more, swinging the Xuanyuan Sword with renewed vigor.
"You two are fighting to save me, so I ought to do my part. No need to hold back anymore. I will heal your wounds."
Smiling, Ruan Mei set up a green barrier that glowed with rune-like
