Just then, someone Lumine hadn't expected emerged from the kitchen in Fontaine.
It was none other than Childe of the Fatui, Tartaglia!
"Huh? Who's he? Why did he come out of the kitchen?"
Some of Hotel Debord's staff immediately grew suspicious of Childe, who froze at their words.
"Hey, hey, hey, miss, everyone, please don't get the wrong idea."
"I'd just arrived in Fontaine and was thinking of having a meal to fill my stomach. But guess what? I spotted some people in waiters' uniforms sneaking into the kitchen. Then I discovered they'd actually knocked out some of the staff and taken their places."
"What shocked me most was that they were secretly adding Primordial Sea to the water pitchers. I couldn't just stand by and watch that."
"Before I could stop them, some platinum-colored chains suddenly appeared. I don't know whether it was deliberate or accidental, but they knocked me out. I've only just woken up."
