Paimon looked with an almost unbearable expression at Aether, whose face had been beaten into a swollen mess by Lumine. Now he lay on the ground with his backside sticking up. Where was that imposing Abyss Prince now?
"Hmph! Now he won't get away again!"
"And I've got a whole bunch of questions to ask him!"
Lumine was delighted. She had finally found her brother! Although she had given him a beating, she had grown much stronger now and no longer feared any Abyss Order~
"Wait, Traveler!"
Just then, an Abyss rift silently opened beside Aether, and a tall, dark-purple figure emerged.
Haden looked at Aether lying there with his backside in the air, barely able to keep his composure. He sighed helplessly as he looked at Lumine, whose back was turned to him, and the stunned Paimon.
"Sorry, Traveler, but I can't hand your brother over to you yet."
The instant the Traveler turned around in shock, Haden tossed Aether into the Abyss rift. Then he calmly turned around himself, seemingly ready to leave.
{A reminder here: spatial blinking and those other abilities were only available when Lumine activated her ring. Now that the activation had ended, they were on cooldown.}
"Brother!"
"Whoa! Is this another Abyss Herald?"
"Stop right there, Old Man!"

At that critical moment, as Lumine and Paimon watched Aether being thrown into the Abyss rift and the culprit, Haden, preparing to leave-
An angry male voice rang out. Immediately afterward, an arrow wrapped in wind and snow tore through space and slammed into Haden's face, interrupting his step into the rift.
"Urgh-!"
Under Lumine and Paimon's astonished gazes, the arrow struck Haden squarely in the head. His head exploded, turning into pitch-black Abyss fluid.
The fluid gathered again, restoring Haden's shattered head.
