Aether panicked when he noticed Lumine's strange look. He hurriedly explained that his kinks weren't that bizarre yet.
And so, the young man {probably?} began telling Tirel's story.
It began in the kingdom of Khaenri'ah five hundred years ago, before the Abyss erupted. For certain reasons, Aether met this girl, who had heard a "sage's" prophecy as a child.
The sage said that a devastating calamity was about to descend, and only the appearance of the Savior might save everything. To find the Savior, the girl said goodbye to her grandmother and embarked on a journey, keeping her grandmother's instructions firmly in mind.
Like Lumine, she began her journey across Teyvat, meeting many people and making many friends.
Then, because of a timeline, she accidentally arrived in Natlan five hundred years in the future and met Aether. She told him the sage's prophecy, and through their time together, Aether gradually developed some curious feelings.
So he gave the girl his Spaceship Key, while the Ruler of Time sent her back to Khaenri'ah five hundred years earlier to try to avert the devastating calamity.
Unfortunately, despite all her efforts, she still failed, and Junior Sister Wa's curse turned her into a Hilichurl.
Fortunately, however, her memories did not gradually fade. Instead, she found the cave from back then, ate wild fruit when she was hungry, drank river water when she was thirsty, and settled down there.
