Seele's Experience

Theresa's attempt to pacify Oleg by treating her like a little girl made everyone stifle their laughter. Sampo was struggling to hold it in, his shoulders shaking uncontrollably, while the Stellaron Hunters and Bronya watched with suppressed smiles as Theresa's face darkened.

"I'm not a child, and I don't want to say how old I am. After all, a girl's age is a secret! In short, I'm an adult!"

Theresa shouted indignantly in a childish voice. Her annoyed, high-pitched cry didn't make Oleg believe she was an adult.

"Ahem, Leader Oleg, Theresa is indeed an adult. We can vouch for her."

Dan Heng maintained his composure and said to Oleg without laughing, though his twitching lips proved he was having a hard time holding back his laughter.

"Haha, that's right. Don't let her small size fool you, she's actually, uh…"

"Never mind, I'm fine…"

March 7th was about to speak when Theresa suddenly turned and stared at her wisely. March 7th shivered and gave an awkward smile.

She was quite sure that if she dared to speak, the giant Judas would strike her head, making her already slow brain even slower. March 7th didn't want to become an idiot!

"That's right, Leader Oleg, she really is an adult."

Sampo finally exhaled after struggling to suppress his laughter and explained to Oleg.

"Huh? This little thing, she's an adult?"

Oleg gestured to the members of Underworld Fire, who began to leave. After all, they were about to discuss serious matters. Only Seele and Sampo remained beside Oleg as Underworld Fire began to communicate with the Stellaron Hunters and Bronya.

Dan Heng also sat down and faced Oleg, while Sampo poured everyone water with a fawning smile. He seemed to sense that Seele was very unhappy at the moment and, fearing she might try to attack him with her scythe, busied himself by pouring water for everyone.

"Yes, we have a conflict with Cocolia from the Upper City. She has issued a city-wide warrant for our arrest on the baseless charge of endangering Belobog. We were forced to come to the Lower City, and after clearing out the Fighting Club that was exploiting the Lower City's people, we received an invitation from Sampo, which led to today's meeting."

"We are here today to seek cooperation with Underworld Fire to jointly resist the pressure from the Upper City."

Dan Heng stated directly and calmly to Oleg. In truth, he didn't expect Underworld Fire to be of much help. After all, his Trailblaze journey had exposed him to all sorts of deceit and treachery. This meeting was more like a mutual contest of interests.

Dan Heng's direct words surprised Oleg. He had never seen a meeting start with such a bombshell, but seeing Dan Heng's calm and determined expression, he knew Underworld Fire had no other choice.

"Ever since that Supreme Guardian suddenly ordered the Iron Cavalry to withdraw from the Lower City, our people in the Lower City, unwilling to be slaughtered, began to unite. We went through many hardships and finally established Underworld Fire."

Oleg said, tears streaming down his face as he looked at Dan Heng. Seele also lowered her head and bit her lip. Her home, the orphanage in Rivet Town, was lost just like that. Half of the evacuated children were left behind by those hateful Abyss Monsters.

She was protected by Natasha and, along with other children, managed to break through with the help of Underworld Fire. Those Underworld Fire members who sacrificed themselves to protect them fell one after another amidst the roars of the monsters.

The splashing blood was deeply etched into the memory of the young Seele at the time. She didn't want to feel so powerless again!

Finally, she and Natasha, along with some children, were saved by Underworld Fire and brought back to Rocktown. They were even adopted by Oleg. After being rescued, the girl began to train relentlessly every day. She wanted to train as quickly as possible. She wanted to avenge everyone!

It was precisely because of this belief in revenge that she awakened the Path of the Hunt and became a Pathstrider.

Later, she obtained the weapon Sampo had scavenged for her, the extremely sharp, light, and fast scythe she held in her hand. After obtaining this scythe, she resolved to become the Grim Reaper for those Abyss Monsters, to use her scythe to reap their lives and make them atone for the dead.

To this end, she began to train herself daily. With Oleg, a retired Iron Cavalry member, providing reasonable training, Seele's physical fitness began to improve gradually.

And because of the boost from the power of the Path of the Hunt, she didn't become muscular from the high-intensity training, but maintained the slender figure befitting a young girl.
