"What kind of gains are you talking about?"
Hearing Otto being so mysterious, Xu Yanwu grew a little annoyed and pressed on. "Don't tell me the Second Divine Key really broke? It just soaked in the Sea of Quanta without any protection, didn't it? If it broke that easily, that'd be such a letdown!"
Xu Yanwu went on at length. "I got seriously injured just to obtain the Second Divine Key, and now it's actually broken? Then what was the point of us fighting for our lives? And never mind how huge the Second Divine Key is now—a locomotive that big was built so poorly that it could actually break..."
"Blah blah blah..."
Xu Yanwu rambled on and on beside him, while Otto had shut off his hearing the moment Xu Yanwu began nagging. Out of earshot, out of mind, he focused on studying the Second Divine Key before him.
Only after Xu Yanwu had nagged for quite some time did Otto answer his original question. "The Second Divine Key is not completely broken. How could a Second Divine Key made of Soul Steel be damaged so easily?"
Otto continued, "The Second Divine Key's primary functions have all been preserved, but... at its core, the Second Divine Key is still an information collector, recording the information and data accumulated over the years... The only damaged part is that data."
Otto spoke regretfully. "Although I did my best to repair it, I was only able to salvage a small portion of the data."
"As long as it still works!"
Xu Yanwu did not care about all that. "At least the Second Divine Key's own functions are still intact, right?"
"That is true."
Otto nodded. "But why are you so concerned about the Second Divine Key? Did you already know about it?"
