Honkai Sickness.
A disease that had mysteriously emerged after the disaster five years ago that had engulfed an entire city.
To this day, the relevant authorities had not disclosed the cause of that disaster, but... from then on, Honkai Sickness had begun appearing all over the world.
It was an extraordinarily strange and troublesome illness.
Purple, circuit-like streaks would appear across the patient's body. Wherever the streaks spread, the tissue would gradually degenerate, causing organ failure and eventually death.
The cause of infection was unknown, and no treatment method was known.
And the mortality rate... was one hundred percent.
A terminal illness in every sense of the word.
And Bianca, as a doctor, was now facing this disease.
"Annie, how are you feeling today?"
Bianca was now at the hospital, dressed in a doctor's white coat as she asked the little girl in the hospital bed about her condition.
"Dr. Bianca!" Annie was delighted to see Bianca arrive.
Bianca gave Annie a simple examination.
"Temperature normal. Blood pressure normal."
Bianca looked at the purple streaks covering Annie's arm beneath the sleeve she had rolled up.
"...The purple markings haven't changed either."
Bianca recorded the results, but Annie spoke up.
"...Dr. Bianca, the other doctors said I have Honkai Sickness."
There was faint unease in Annie's voice. "They said this disease can't be cured. Am I going to die?"
Tears welled up in Annie's eyes.
Seeing Annie cry, Bianca could only comfort her and wipe the tears from the corners of her eyes. "Don't worry, Annie."
"Your condition hasn't worsened." Bianca smiled at Annie. "I'll definitely cure you."
But when Bianca walked out of the ward, the smile on her face vanished.
She frowned. Just now, she had not denied what Annie had said about Honkai Sickness.
"Bianca, come here for
