"Xingtian?!"

Jiang Zhu's face was filled with uncontrollable shock. A headless man... that legend was actually true?!

After tossing the little girl into Jiang Zhu's arms, the headless man turned away, showing no reaction to Jiang Zhu's calls.

Though he had no head, Jiang Zhu felt as if he were looking at something.

At the enormous monster flying in from the horizon.

"Danzhu! Cang Xuan! You two go save the people!"

A voice like a great bell rang out from high above, its fury impossible to conceal. "These two Honkai Beasts! Leave them to me!"

"Okay!"

Two figures, one black and one white, leaped down from the monster and plunged into the swarm of Honkai Beasts.

Jiang Zhu was dumbfounded. That monster... could speak?!

And what had it said? Save people?! Leave them to it?!

And who were those two figures?

While Jiang Zhu stood stunned, Xingtian slowly walked out.

With every step, Xingtian's pace grew faster.

With every step, the ground beneath his feet trembled.

With every step, Xingtian's body swelled larger.

By the time Xingtian charged to Feng Bo Yu Shi's side, his body was already nearly as large as Feng Bo Yu Shi's.

Just as Chi Yuan was about to be driven into a desperate corner by Feng Bo and was preparing to use her final measure, the sky suddenly darkened. A shadow blocked out the light above her head.

Xingtian's fist slammed viciously into Feng Bo's bird-like head, forcibly smashing the massive Honkai Beast back several steps.

After Feng Bo staggered back two steps, Feng Bo shook his head to clear it, then let out a hoarse screech at Xingtian, enraged beyond measure at having been attacked.

But Xingtian paid no heed to Feng Bo's threat. He stepped forward again, grabbed the horns on Feng Bo's head, and began hammering Feng Bo with a barrage of blows.

Her opponent was suddenly sent flying, and Chi Yuan froze. What was going on?

High in the sky, Xu Yanwu, in his Yinglong form, was equally dumbfounded.

Holy shit, why did that body down there, grabbing a Honkai Beast and beating it up, look so damn familiar???

Holy shit, that round birthmark on its back... holy shit, wasn't that my body??!

Why was it here??!

Though Xu Yanwu was shocked, he did not think this was the time to dwell on it. If anything, his body being able to fight Feng Bo was a huge help.

Seeing Ji Xuanyuan still fighting Yu Shi, Xu Yanwu roared and dove down from the sky, bellowing, "Ji Xuanyuan! Move aside! Go save the others! Leave this giant snake to me!"

When Ji Xuanyuan saw the enormous Yinglong diving down from the sky, she did not hesitate. She lightly kicked off the bony horn atop Yu Shi's head and nimbly retreated.

If she stayed here, she would likely be caught up in the attack from above.

And though she was curious why that monster in the sky could speak and knew her name, she did not sense any hostility in its voice.

"Hiss—"

Yu Shi also felt the oppressive force coming from Xu Yanwu and tried to twist away, but it was already too late. Xu Yanwu's claw slammed onto Yu Shi's back, tearing through the hard scales and drawing dark red blood.

"Hiss—!"

In pain, Yu Shi angrily flung up the tail and lashed Xu Yanwu's body, causing Xu Yanwu's energy form to ripple violently.

Seeing the attack work, Yu Shi's spirits rose. Yu Shi coiled around Xu Yanwu, trying to crush him to death.

"Fuck you!"

Xu Yanwu was furious as well. He simply opened his dragon jaws and bit down just below Yu Shi's neck. After all, he was an energy form right now,

Could I really lose in a life-for-life fight against you?

Watching Xu Yanwu fight Yu Shi to the death, Ji Xuanyuan could not bear it, but she still turned and rushed toward the Honkai Beasts attacking the civilians.

After Chi Yuan smashed the head of a Honkai Beast attacking humans with one punch, she spotted Cang Xuan and Danzhu and froze. "Cang Xuan? Danzhu? Why are you here?"

Seeing companions who had also survived from the previous civilization, Chi Yuan was both delighted and astonished.

"Chi Yuan?"

Danzhu saw Chi Yuan behind her and yanked the stunned Chi Yuan over. "Watch out!"

A Honkai Beast's blade barely grazed the tips of Chi Yuan's hair before Cang Xuan froze it into an ice block with a scroll.

"There's no time to explain. Let's deal with these Honkai Beasts first."

Cang Xuan's expression was cold as she waved her hand again, freezing a Honkai Beast that had lunged at the humans in midair.

"That giant and that Honkai Beast..."

Chi Yuan hesitated.

"We don't know about the giant, but the other one isn't a Honkai Beast. He's Uncle Xu Yanwu, who came with us," Danzhu told Chi Yuan. "We'll explain after the battle."

Meanwhile, on Xu Yanwu and Feng Bo Yu Shi's battlefield.

Although Xu Yanwu and his body had gained the upper hand against Feng Bo Yu Shi, Xu Yanwu felt that things would not be so easy. It was as if... Feng Bo Yu Shi still had something up their sleeve.

Xu Yanwu's ears twitched as he heard the cry.

He turned his head slightly, and his pupils contracted.

Driven by the wind and rain, the Yellow River, which had already begun to settle somewhat, suddenly surged into turmoil, raising a towering wave over its surface!

These two Honkai Beasts could actually control wind and rain?!

Inside Yinglong's body, Xu Yanwu's eyes turned red, and Yinglong itself became like a beast ready to devour people.

"Good!"

A low growl emerged from the depths of Xu Yanwu and Yinglong's throats. Even Xingtian, who had been instinctively pinning Feng Bo down and beating him, seemed to reconnect with Xu Yanwu. His movements became orderly as one hand clamped tightly around Feng Bo's head, pinning Feng Bo so firmly that Feng Bo could not move, while dragging Feng Bo toward Yu Shi.

"So you want to play with water, huh?!" Once Xingtian had locked both hands tightly around the two Honkai Beasts' necks, Xu Yanwu broke free, flew into the sky, and roared, "I'm Yinglong right now! The ancestor of water manipulation!"

Xu Yanwu let out a furious roar at the Yellow River.

"Damn it! Just... stay there!!"
